Hunt, your gal had the lyrics wrong in that vid.  Sang 2nd verse lyrics as 1st verse and vice versa.  Sad performance.

Love the Record Company!  I don't care whose song they're playing.

Maybe I’m just being generous because they’re a bunch of geriatrics, but this doesn’t suck.

ok, after listening to this cover multiple times, i still like the original slightly more, but damn it is still one of the better covers ever IMO.

I can’t imagine how much pressure there was performing Stairway in front the LZ.  That takes guts.

I've watched this performance on YouTube a bunch of times - one of the better covers out there of an iconic song.

they play at least one zeppelin cover in all of their concerts. we went to see them in 2019 & they played stairway as their opening encore tune. so damn good.

edit - not necessarily better, but the entire black crowes with jimmy page album, live at the greek, is amazing.

without a doubt.

saw them when they toured and came to camden, one of the best concerts i have been to. closet i ever got to seeing some form of zeppelin. i saw page and plant on their solo tours, but they didnt play much zeppelin.

the opening encore tune was bring it on home (such an iconic guitar riff) which coincidentally enough, is an excellent cover song in it's own right.

oh hell yeah. my friend and i were 10th row in the center and i tell you, musically i was in heaven. two of my favorite groups joined together, playing songs i never thought i'd see performed live beyond an occasional cover at a show like heart or even seeing git the led out, this was it for me as a led head.

So in the end,
Swamper and Greeny
Finally succumb to
The ways of Harold.
And in doing so
Each gave just a little bit
Of his soul away.

This sounded promising until they started singing.  Then it sounded like Weird Al, only way worse

I typically like Devo - just wasn't a fan of this version of that song
