Only one Jaguars player needed and he plays Defense

Wouldn't disagree there. It's not going to happen I don't think but yeah I'd definitely like us to bring in Yannick.

Still hoping they see the light and make Sanders/Fournette the perfect duo for us.

How many times do we need to trade for a HB on his last year of contract only to see him gone the next season? I like him yes, but No thanks.

If he plays so well we can't hold him - so be it, we got a good year and a comp pick for it.

Running backs dont get big deals anymore unless they are a top 5 RB. He would not be a top 20 RB in our scheme. Comp picks are selected by contract amount. Ur going to give more then what you will get back for a 1 year production. Again, I like the kid a lot but the past has shown us it is not worth trading for a 1 year RB.

Not even sure why Fournette is even in discussion. He isn't coming here to be in a committee and the eagles obviously like sanders alot and fans what a feature back yet still want to be in a committee when Sanders can be a feature back

With a make shift o-line and WR pretty much guesswork I say get it done. 12 man set and run run run.

All honestly his stats last year coming off a injury were very good. 1600+ total yards rushing and rec. Only 3 TDs from poor coaching. He broke one for 80+ for one of those TDs too.. They had something against him for sure. At a 4.17 mill price tag for 1 year Im sure someone will claim him. I just dont think it will be us.

He'd be fantastic in our offense.  He was always a pretty good receiving back.  He'd be dynamite here.

My concern is that we have Miles that could also be a pretty darn good running back.  Would taking snaps away from Miles be a problem?

Yeah no one is buying that. They're a better team on the field without him?

I'm not buying it either.  I wasn't sure if it was mentioned yet that he was cut - just wanted to share the news and figured this is the perfect thread to do so haha.

If the are cutting him for some internal things then I could understand them saying they are better for it.

I haven't followed his career, but if he's a decent #2 and doesn't hurt the cap too much go for it.

He would be a good addition by numbers, but I don’t know if he would be good for the locker room. I don’t think he wants to come here and be used as sparingly as we used Jordan Howard.

For the right price I think it would be a good move. He's a nice compliment to Sanders.

Better than any healthy RB currently on the roster.

yes... now is the time to get him. i wasn't for giving up any draft picks for him but now he costs nothing

I guess it depends what kind of deal he can get though?

With him filing a grievance against the Jags now for his 4.17 mill base, that will keep a few more teams away. Hes just making it worse for himself with that. Someone will still go after him but Im expecting someone like the Rams, Bucs, Seahawks, Packers or Redskins.

I would imagine Fournette is looking for a team where he can be the lead back, even if it means being the leader of a RBBC. The Eagles aren't going to make Sanders the RB2 if they bring in Fournette, especially after how he broke out late last season. The Bears, Chiefs, Patriots, and Steelers would all fall into that latter category, where Fournette is more proven than the incumbent starter and would lead the RBBC.

Interestingly enough I have both Sanders and Fournette in my 10 team PPR league.  The draft was the day before he was released, and I didn't imagine the Jaguars would actually just cut Fournette if they didn't get a trade offer they liked, considering their lack of RB depth. I figured they would just let him walk in FA at the end of the season and draft a new guy next year.

Tampa makes a lot of sense.  In state move to Team that might be able to contend, that also has a questionable backfield.

Sanders got dinged up and left the game for a spell a few times last season and is being bubble wrapped here in training camp.  It would be foolish to assume Corey Clement can stay healthy, and I don’t fully believe in Boston Scott yet.

If I were the Eagles I’d approach Fournette with the role Jordan Howard had last season.  Let him pound between the tackles and keep Sanders fresh to be able to make big plays in the open field.  Keep Sanders to about 15-20 touches per game.

I wouldn’t offer more than about $2M though.  The Eagles got good production out of Blount for one season at only a $1.25M cost

Seahawks do like their big physical RBs so I could definitely see that.
