You're crazy.  "Frisbee golf" or disc golf as it's called, is awesome.  And it's free.  And it takes almost no time out of your day.

Unless it requires walking through an underbrush of pine clusters in a park, on a humid Sunday morning, while sometimes throwing clay pidgins at trash cans. Then, I’m out.

I have clients in Charlotte that are psychotic about it.  I think there are more disc golf courses in Charlotte than anywhere else.  One dude brings walks the full 18 with his bag of discs (which contain about 50 discs, from drivers to putters) and a tiny little stand so he doesn't have to put the bag of discs in the dirt.  I walk with 3 discs and a backpack cooler of beer.

So, you have clients in Charlotte, and a backpack full of beer, huh?  Now THAT sounds interesting.

I think weed would be lighter.  And more event appropriate

Never had drugs or beer in my life. But did sip a beer at nine years old and really that is what did me in for the taste of it. Just saying.

Sitting out back with coffee that’s too hot to drink still. It’s 76° and sunny here already so the kids will probably be swimming all day. As for me....yard work for a few hours, the dog needs a bath, and I suddenly have to repair a hold in the drywall that’s about as big as a size 5 boy’s sneaker.
I gotta kick it into high gear today because our oldest is about to head off to college in a few weeks, and I’m trying to spend as much time 🙁 as I can 🥺 with her before 😢 she 😢 leaves 😭😭!

saw this beautiful Buick GS400 while at grocery store. '68 with the v-8. i'm a early 70s chevy man when it comes to muscle cars but you gotta respect the lines on this girl. turns out her name is 'charlie. BONUS: i waited 20 minutes outside in the texas sun to thank the driver for the below, an exterior mechanical HUD. i had always imagined creating one but have never seen one. 

now, while pork slow cooks, couple shots of the cabo wabo and the full replay 2010 eagles/lions game. thinking they'll win.feeling good about it.

Slept in a bit.

Got up and cut grass.

Took the kids for a pink lemonade slushie from McDonalds. They were out of slushies. wtf?

Thinking about washing the car but it seems about to rain. Might wait an hour or 2 for that. 

finished spreading the mulch.  chill time.

Busy day for me...Starting off with coffee on the back porch and trying to prioritize chores.

Started the day off reading outside with a cup of coffee. Cooked bacon, pancakes, and eggs for breakfast. Now I'm at Urgent Care with my 6 year old little girl  hoping her ankle/foot isn't broken...

Kills me to see this 😭 but she's doing great!  Where's @HazletonEagle when I need a nurse's opinion while I wait for the real doctor?  😂

Guarantee I know more about that than anyone in the ED and especially an urgent care. But theyll likely bring you an ortho consult becaue a spiral fracture like that is likely to be surgerized.

geez man, I’m really sorry to hear that. Sucks when one of the kids gets hurt. Hope it heals quickly and well.

Finished patching the basement*, got 30 minutes on the Peloton and going to make dinner soon.  Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes and some veggies.   

 

 

 

*3 tiny holes still left to patch, but I need to leave them open for a lighting project tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah, they put a splint on it and referred to orthopedic doctor to cast it. Glad to know that we might be looking at surgery so I can brace my wife for that possibility.  Why would it need surgery if it isn't displaced at all?

She's doing incredibly well, thanks. I'm amazed at well she's handling it. Gets a little sad here and there and frustrated because she can do a lot of stuff she wants to but she's handling it all exceptionally well for a 6-year-old.

Yeah, that was my diagnosis too but mine was made as a completely uninformed parent with no medical knowledge or training whatsoever... Haha
