time2rock
Jalen Hurts Dropping Dimes to Quez Watkins [WATCH] By Mike Greger Updated Jun 30, 2021 at 11:10am Getty: Philadelphia Eagles rookie receiver Quez Watkins threw up the peace sign after scoring his first touchdown. DeVonta Smith wasn’t the only player catching bombs from Jalen Hurts this past weekend. The second-year quarterback appears committed to building chemistry with all his young receivers and put it on display during a workout with Quez Watkins. Hurts, the unofficial starter for the Philadelphia Eagles, knows the "rent is due every day” and the Heisman Trophy runner-up has been doing everything in his power to better himself and the team this summer. His newest teammate drawing rave reviews is Quez Watkins, the 2020 second-round pick out of Southern Miss. The speedy receiver was spotted running routes and cutting on a dime during a recent workout. His footwork and hips looked much improved. Watkins also appeared to have packed on some lean muscle to his 6-foot, 193-pound frame. Watkins made seven receptions for 106 yards (13 targets) and a touchdown in 2020 for Philly. The rookie saw action in only six games after starting the season on injured reserve. He suffered a hamstring injury last year at training camp and it lingered until Week 4. It took him a minute to rise up the depth chart but eventually earned some trust and played at least 22 snaps in three of the last four games. Remember, Watkins and Hurts had been throwing a lot on the scout team before Carson Wentz was benched. Their relationship continues to grow and develop. "I think Quez Watkins has a really good relationship with Jalen,” former head coach Doug Pederson said last December. "They’ve been throwing a lot together on the service team.” https://heavy.com/sports/philadelphia-eagles/jalen-hurts-quez-watkins-chemistry/?fbclid=IwAR1J1vAOMvB5LvVkq_m3tBQXTT1tt92xouYb6Sf0aetogi307dFGMEAuyi8 NOTE: click on link to article to view the video embedded in article

Wormlegs
Everyone drops dimes, quarters, nickels and pennies at training camp. Im sure us slobs could catch passes uncovered too
Portyansky
Ben Simmons was taking and making shots in practice too... Surprised we don't have an AI pic in here...

These guys really have nothing else to write about right now (unless you want another piece on how Ertz should be traded or cut soon ... I've stopped posting those). time2rock
Hurts to Watkins is one of the more under the radar connections I am looking forward to watching this summer. The obvious focal points will be Hurts to Smith or Reagor (and I am definitely looking forward to watching them as well) but I think Watkins has a real shot at carving out a nice little role here. Note: this is not based on anything being written during OTAs … just gut feeling based on some flashes last year.
UK_EaglesFan89
I think Watkins could play a pretty decent part this year. He could even become WR #3/4 if Sirianni can really utilise that speed.

jsdarkstar
Maybe Reagor, Watkins and Smith can turn into a trio like Monk, Sanders and Clark? Hmmm.
