February 11, 20241 yr I hope people understand that NATO is the U.S.’s baby and that it has never been an equal partnership

February 12, 20241 yr FFS. There are no funding obligations to a pool of NATO money for joint defense. Even if the other NATO members did up their defense spending to 2% of GDP, there’s zero chance that would justify the US decreasing defense spending by a commensurate amount. It’s an absolutely idiotic talking point that won’t die because it’s repeated by an imbecile to a crowd of morons.

I feel like that should be a pretty easy thing to understand, but 3 years of shoveling down fistfuls of horse dewormer might be affecting your ability to follow a simple conversation and stay tethered to reality. imagine hating your fellow Americans so much that you place your lips on the dong of your enemy. is it salty, @Procus?

Because you're too stupid to understand how much we're getting back by policing the world's shipping lanes, providing security for global commerce, and being a bulwark against foreign wars that would tank our economy even if we didn't get directly involved.
February 12, 20241 yr Trump supports a Russian take over of all of Europe. He will just sit back watch it happen. And Maga House members approve. If this was the 1950's, Trump would have been terminated with extreme predjudice.
February 12, 20241 yr NATO allies have paid more, Trump is just upset they haven't paid him directly so he calls for Putin to attack NATO, he will allow it. And The Maga Party supports a Russian Take over of NATO.

In addition to his VP pick, Biden also attempted to incite riots in Kenosha, WI after a police shooting there. Remember that? When the country was an absolute powder keg and the George Floyd riots were winding down, Biden decided to visit a guy who was resisting arrest with a knife and attempting to kidnap a car full of children? Biden also released statements about how police were brutalizing blacks at the height of all the unrest. Essentially throwing gasoline all over a brush fire. It was basically part of the all out assault by the media and democrat politicians to convince blacks and sheetlibs that blacks were being genocided by police. I don't think people truly remember and appreciate how batsheet insane 2020 was.

You really should read history. If you did you'd know the US population wanted nothing to do with WWII until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Convenient? Maybe. Would a government who has done and does what it does allow that attack to get what it wants? Don't come to me bleating about dishonoring 400k dead WWII soldiers without being able to acknowledge the fact they were likely lied to. How long before we start removing their statues as well?

This is not entirely true. After Germany invaded Poland, opinion was near split with 42% for entering the war and 46% against. Support dropped over the next year, as the Germans rolled through Western Europe, to a low of 7% for support and 93% against entering. Support to enter WWII rebounded after France surrendered and had grown to 68% for entering the war and 28% against just 1 month before Pearl Harbor. https://exhibitions.ushmm.org/americans-and-the-holocaust/us-public-opinion-world-war-II-1939-1941

During this period the US government already held its position in place and practice through policy and trade. There was a NSDAP-run propaganda campaign going on that was traced back to 1933 with the intention to keep America out of any "trouble” in Europe. It also worked to present a positive view on Hitler and Germany as a whole. Lots of support for an America First movement and freezing immigration with a border wall going on at the time as well. Fascist propaganda, back then, liked to use existing cracks of division by fueling them into larger cracks of division to make a democratic country dysfunctional to a point they’re unable to respond effectively to a threat. You should read up on some of the findings of O. John Rogge, an attorney for the US Department of Justice. He had a case called the Great Sedition Trial that fizzled out and got swept under the rug when the judge died of a heart attack and the war had been won, there were some high profile congressmen involved, but not indicted. Of course, we would find out afterwards, a lot of Germany’s economic rebuild in the 1930’s (the case for Hitler receiving Man of the Year) could be attributed to the Jews being removed from the workforce via concentration camp or death. Which opened up job opportunities and new business ownership for the aryan Germans, while also building the German war machine. Germans could overlook the treatment of the Jews easier because they themselves were prospering.
