From what I'm reading it is prohibited inside of 10ft of the polling place - assuming the polling place means the building and not the actual booth, then yeah they shouldn't have been allowed to do that.

If gas prices cause "financial hardships" for your family then yeah, you suck at managing your money. It's not like this is adding 20k to your annual expenses.

(though some definitely are). a decent chunk of college educated suburban voters lean more democratic nowadays, and many drive smaller more fuel efficient vehicles. some are also working remote part or full time. and some of them who are committed environmentalists are actually cheering for the high gas prices, as they see it as a market force pushing us in the direction of renewables, though I think they're a bit misguided on that. some of those same blue collar workers, who feel a bit maligned by the current economy and found an outlet in Trump's grievance politics, may take it a step further and further begrudge those "college educated elites" for feeling the pain of high gas prices unequally .. why should those diploma'd brats get to work from home when I'm out here busting my ass and paying $5 a gallon for the privilege!!! I think there's a lot of reductive thinking above, but there's a thread there I think is true.

I've heard some legitimate gripes, mainly because of how quickly the prices shifted. many of course were citing ridiculously low pump prices just following the pandemic outbreak, but nonetheless one of my acquaintances owns a company in building and they have a fleet of 3-4 trucks. it was costing him significantly more every week to fill them up, as their crews were driving all over the place. I do absolutely think some of this was overstated and overall the construction industry has been doing quite well, and of course that fact is not attributed to Biden. but it certainly impacted operating costs. even if most were just kvetching.

Also missed that TD being stuck on the Girard Pt Bridge for close to an hour. If it's the same night
