November 10, 20223 yr Author Russia Vows to Defend 'Traditional Values' Against 'Gay Propaganda' Russia on Wednesday vowed to defend its "traditional" values against threats from the United States and so-called "gay propaganda" in a document signed by President Vladimir Putin. The presidential decree, setting out official policy and entering force immediately, stresses the importance of "traditional values as the basis of Russian society." Swap in Republican for Russia and it's indistinguishable. Almost like Russian propaganda has captured the hearts and minds of a certain segment of Republicans.

Probably why they behaved when Trump was president.

I shudder to think what those concessions are. They have floated out there running Matt Gaetz against McCarthy for speaker. You just can't make this stuff up. And gaetz would lose so then what

If that's the kind of ratio we're going to see from Washoe and Clark counties then I think Laxalt is dead in the water. It also means that Clark doesn't need to be as heavily Masto as they were thinking. Unless something happens to buck the trend of these mail ballots coming in heavy for Masto then this will be over long before the GA runoff.

Yeah even if we toss all the remaining Washoe ones as a 50/50 split, the Clark ones only need to come in just above a 60/40 split to make up the lost ground. Sure seems like it's very doable considering these are all mail-in ballots from a blue county. Which then makes Georgia all that more interesting, considering it gives the dems a chance to actually pick up a seat on balance. That would be pretty remarkable considering all the circumstances. When was even the last time that a party out of power actually lost senate seats during the midterms? Edit: Looks like the GOP picked up two seats in 2018 and also back in 2002. Gas and inflation wasn't as unfavorable then as it is now though.

What I care about, and seemingly have a shot at now, is staving off the psychotic MAGA extremist candidates until Trump's anti-Democracy stranglehold on the Republican party evaporates and we can either go back to arguing about important issues or a Trump meltdown ensues and the Republican party has to eject him and his supporters in anger and go through a few election cycles of re-invention.
