Yeah, I mean, one of my favorite things in the world was going to concerts and getting close to the stage. Since COVID happened, I almost can't imagine being back in that setting. All those disgusting, drunken slobs, sweating on me, and now I think about literally breathing in their exhalations. Nasty. Last show I was at pre-COVID, we had a club box at the WF Center. Reserved seats and private bar/bathrooms. I don't know if I can ever go back to the old ways.

I changed my post. it's Prejudice and bigotry. feel better now?

People who want to just go in and not get a table. I refuse to do it -- people bumping you with drinks, smoking right next to you, etc. Haven't gone into a club without a table in over a decade. Hell, I'll give the bouncer money to clear a path to the restroom for me. Just now, jsdarkstar said: I changed my post. it's Prejudice and bigotry. feel better now? If you are in the left lane, and I come up behind you, move the eff over. And if you are doing the speed limit in the left lane, accept that you have failed at life and just drive off a cliff. 1 minute ago, mr_hunt said: cool story. what was it like working for mr roarke? The 7th circle of hell for me are stupid cocktail/dinner industry events for work. I won't attend them anymore because I can't stand the brutal small talk with idiots, all of whom are trying to pitch some useless investment. Tons of guys in the investing world love them -- bunch of hedge fund managers getting together and pitching their bad ideas to each other. I have one friend who is a lawyer who begs me to come to his events, so I'll relent like once a year. After 30 minutes I'm getting an Uber. I have my family, and I have my friends. I don't need any more of either. When work people ask to meet for lunch or coffee, my assistant knows to schedule and then cancel.

I haven't really been digging into the details, but I thought the reason they left was because they wouldn't have enough Senators for a quorum, but apparently they did? Now I'm just confused.
July 14, 20214 yr The voting restrictions bills are just meant to disqualify people who might vote for Democrats. They’re trying to get rid of as many legal voters as they can. It has no basis in reality. The Republican party realizes the demographics are shifting away from them and that they don’t have a message that resonates with anyone except angry white people. White people are already less than 50% of the population in Texas. This is the Republicans last gasp in Texas.
