There seriously needs to be year end reviews of the reviewers.  Most of these "experts" don't amount to a hill of beans.

I'd hardly call that a bad move.  I highly doubt he was signed to play ... he has a boatload of experience in both regular season games and the postseason.  To be able to impart some wisdom from his experience with the young, inexperienced Hurts could be extremely beneficial.
