Not for nothing, but people are stating that this offense is the worst they’ve seen in practice in over 30 years. The offense and all the quarterbacks are basically getting killed in the media and on the field right now. I don’t know what will show up in games though. Hopefully they play much better than they practice.

Unlike our current RB coach Jemal Singleton, who seems to have changed jobs every 1-2 years. Duce managed to stick around with one team for a very long time.

It wasn't till these damn rotations since Duce became coach that anyone ever cared who the hell the running back coach is. You don't need anyone game changing to coach running backs.

It's a running backs coach he doesn't need to be amazing. There is a reason why teams constantly change running back coaches all the time or just have 1 running back coach for a long time that is never considered for a higher position ( duce). Duce has been here how long has not even sniffed a promotion and he didn't when he asked for his release

he is also assistant head coach. We will see how he does before making judgements. All I am saying it is worth watching.

Exactly and whilst we have to put that in to some kind of perspective I do think this is a real concern! We shouldn't overlook how bad this offense has been so far. We had questions and concerns about this offense and so far in TC those concerns are being proven to be appropriate.

I think Dice stuck around as long as he did in part because he played for the team and fans/players really seemed to like him.

During his time here, the rotation that he was allegedly in charge of was often very questionable. On top of that, how many RBs did he actually develop?

He became the RB coach in 2013, let's look at the following players over the years:

McCoy had his best year, that's fair. It was also his 5th year in the league in his prime. Wouldn't say Duce developed him.

Bryce Brown? No 

Sproles? Already an established player 

Chris Polk? No 

Murray? Already an established player 

Matthews? Already an established player 

Barner? No 

Smallwood? No 

Byron Marshall? You probably don't remember 

Blount? Already an established player 

Ajayi? Already an established player 

Clement? One year wonder, but sure I guess

Josh Adams? No

Sanders? Sure, though he's yet to really break out 

Jordan Howard? Already an established player

Scott? Sure 

Not a great track record. Of course you have to add that the Eagles have routinely had a good/great offensive line as well.

I like Duce, but never felt he was anywhere near as good a coach as some.

I think the offense will be just fine, it's the defense that you'd better worry about, the LBs may be better than last year (which isn't saying much) but the DBs are still sub-par, they'll be relying on QB pressures.

Shame the offense really hasn't shown a lot. 

I thought o line kept pocket clean. Play calling was vanilla and Hurts played smart with the ball. Feel recievers are promising. Rb ran and caught ball well. I'll wait till regular season to have real opinion.

The biggest receiver upgrade is in the treatment room, until you have a true #1 out there you can't really tell where the offense is, our receivers room at the moment is a the same stable of role players and walk on's it was last year. Smith will open things up for others as well as being a reliable target, although Reagor really needs to start proving that his college production was down to bad QB play sooner rather than later.

He should have been past them, I posted several times before the draft that he was the best WR on the team, it amazed me how when listening to others talk about the WRs he was always the next to last mentioned.

While he didn't get much playing time last year, when he did get his opportunities I saw the same thing I saw from his college highlights, too much speed and the ability to get open, Smith and Watkins should be the starting outside receivers.

Put Reagor in the slot and see if he can make catchs and head to the endzone instead of head out fo bounds, he did it again last night on that catch on the left sidelines, I only saw the corner with him, with a simple cutback inside the corner wouldn't have been able to recover as he was heading to the sidelines, looks to me he would have had a green grass all the way to the endzone.

One excellent decision I saw from the defensive coaches was to play rookie Milton Williams at DE, that's the same thing I was thinking, he's the same size Reggie White was.

RB sucked last night

I think you can see some culture change across the board.  Doug's teams never seemed hungry or motivated...more entitled than I liked,  Last night, I didn't see any of that.  The seemed ready to compete and fight.

I also thought the defense was refreshing over Schwartz's BS.

A long way to go, but I will take what I saw as a positive sign.

We think and we hope Smith will open things up but we don't know that he will. And expecting him to do that year one is asking a lot.
