Didn't post this to turn into a political rant/rave thread.  I only wanted people going to the game to be aware of the mandate to wear masks.

Once they feel the peasants will comply with the masks they will push furthur until the stands are empty

https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2021/08/12/covid-philly-sporting-events-super-spreaders/

Because the Delta variant is so contagious, there are concerns sporting events that attract thousands of fans could become super spreaders, even though being outside is safer masking isn’t required.

"It’s still in the air, it’s still out there, this is where social distancing still plays a factor,” Reed said.

Out of curiously, can you name me on super spreader?

Yeah, the Unvaccinated represent 99% of hospitalizations and deaths. If 80,000 in the linc are not wearing masks, it can be a super spreader event just like other super spreader events that have occurred over the past year.

Why don’t you STFU and stop being a selfish POS. This isn’t a "personal” problem, it’s a public health problem. A public health problem that’s being prolonged by selfish people.

If masks work, then wear one and you'll be "safe".  Wear it forever, if you want.

So just a question, if or when we reach 100% of the population being vaccinated and COVID is still out there will we finally realize that we can’t outrun a virus?

It’s always going to be out there just like the flu. Every year there will new variants to deal with, it has nothing to do with who is vaccinated or who is not, nothing is going to protect you 100% from it.

That being said a mask can definitely help with slowing the spread so I’m okay with it inside with big crowds but against it in outside environments so the Eagles policy doesn’t bother me.

You know that there are people in certain areas that can’t get into emergency rooms for other problems, because they’re filled up with anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers who have covid? Whether a person wears a mask, or gets vaccinated, affects everybody.

Everything we're told these days is filtered through a political prism, from one side or the other.   I don't believe any of it is on the level.

I know people in actual real life who were fully vaccinated and got sick with covid.

To claim that fully vaccinated people can't get sick from covid is fake news.

No vaccine is a magic cure. To claim it doesn’t prevent the disease is absolutism. There are always exceptions

There are more than exceptions. It isn't rare for someone with the vaccine to get sick from covid.

Define rare in context.

Of hospital care currently in the USA, 97% of admissions are unvaccinated.

For the % of people who are vaccinated in the USA (49.5%) that is an extraordinarily low figure. 1 out of every 33 hospitalizations related to the virus.

"Get sick” from COVID is relative. The COVID vaccine is like a seatbelt. It’s not a magic bubble that makes you invincible, it’s a tool designed to prevent bodily injury. "I know a guy who died with his seatbelt on” doesn’t mean that seatbelts-prevent-bodily-injury is misleading. It is quite literally the CDC’s wording on the vaccine. It’s not perfect, but it is proven.

Based on the data, yes absolutely severe cases are "rare” in ratio to unvaccinated people.

I can't comprehend why you think you are only sick if you are hospitalized.  There is a large middle ground between hospitalized and asymptomatic.

by way comparison...2019 (CDC)

What is already known about this topic?

Measles was eliminated in the United States in 2000. High national coverage with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine and rapid implementation of measles control measures prevent widespread measles transmission.

What is added by this report?

During January–September 2019, 1,249 U.S. measles cases were reported, the highest annual number since 1992. Eighty-nine percent of measles patients were unvaccinated or had an unknown vaccination status, and 10% were hospitalized. Eighty-six percent of cases were associated with outbreaks in underimmunized, close-knit communities, including two outbreaks in New York Orthodox Jewish communities that threatened measles elimination status in the United States.

What are the implications for public health practice?
Ensuring high rates of measles immunization in all communities is critical to sustaining measles elimination.

Yes, but Sanitizers will be all around the stadium.

Did I accidently stumble into CVON?

No one is speaking in absolutisms here. You’re trying to drum something up out of nothing like you used to do on the old board before you got banned for it.

The CDC defines it as a COVID prevention vaccine, their words.

You are though.  You said, and I quote exactly what you said: "The vaccine never prevented you from getting the virus, it prevents you from getting the disease"

And that is 100% false.  It is not rare for someone to get sick with symptoms of Covid if they are vaccinated. Not even close to rare.

You know that vaxx'd people and people who wear masks are also in those hospitals.

In fact, depending on where you look, some say more Vaxx'd people are in hospitals.

Some say the earth is flat, some people are morons

Unfortunately nearly everything is a political issue even if it shouldn’t be. With that being the case I’m sure there will be people within the building letting people know they must wear masks inside. When it comes down to it I’m not trusting that anyone who is sick will stay home after paying all that money for tickets. They’re going and don’t care if you get sick or no too. I’m out,
