I don’t think they showed their offense really, but they still had some struggles we have seen in the past and that was on third downs and their lack of running the football. Felt like a lot of what we saw before. Don’t forget this owner loves the pass game. There was a story about how he was angry at the win over Green Bay because he thought the team ran the ball too much. I don’t think this team has the backs to give the ball to 30-35 times a game to anyways.

Everything I have ever said about Hurts is about Hurts himself and what he has shown thus far. The completion percentage, poor accuracy, turnover issues, mechanics, up and down play, poor adjustments etc...the irrefutable numbers themselves, all deal with Hurts himself.

I don’t know what the reason for the Hurts hate, every game he played in he was giving us a reallly good chance to win the game. The kid was a Heisman finalist and has shown he isn’t afraid of anything and has overcome all obstacles so far. What makes you think he can’t make it in the NFL. 
In my opinion I think he can be a top 12-17 QB and basically be what Russell Wilson was in his early years in Seattle. His pocket awareness has shown significant improvement since his college days. He may never be a 68-70 percent passer but I have faith that he will win us games and not be a liability. 
My prediction for this year 

Hurts 3600 yards 63% completions 26Tds 560 yards rushing 6TDS  Win Loss Record 9-8 we are second in the division and get the last wild card . We lose his first playoff game

Am with you my man. Don't know why but hurts seems to be a winner and so rootable unlike the last one we had who was a cry baby. I am really hoping he does great this year and we can build around him with all the picks we have rather than go after someone like Watson. 

Am sure he will pleasantly surprise us

Wentz isn't even on the team or the topic of conversation. You can say I feel strongly about him, but you're the one who seems to have his balls in your mouth by continuing to bring him up and post pictures of him.

Like I've said a million times, what he does in preseason is ultimately irrelevant and I don't really care how good or bad he is from a numbers standpoint. I do want to see encouraging signs. What matters is week 1 and on.

I expect good players to play well in preseason. Hurts played well. Ultimately in a preseason game, you evaluate the QB on his throwing and decision making. His throws were on target and his decisions were sound. It was a small sample, but it was encouraging --- as was all the work he's been putting in since the end of last season.

I wouldn't say he played well. There were some things I took issue with. There was some really good and some not so good. First preseason game and whatnot so it's not really important either way, for now. He needs to improve this season or we need to move on, but I'd say most feel that way.

There's one of many, but sure, I never once said Wentz played poorly or messed up.

As for Hurts, which is who matters at this point no, I wouldn't say he played well. The throw to Reagor was poor. Like I said in the other thread, the play with Watkins is beyond "Meh, timing." There were ten defenders on the field. You left an easy TD on the field when they were undermanned. Hurts needs to see that they are down and you need a positive play in that scenario. No excuses.

Now the throw to Goedert was a beauty. The first throw of the game to Ertz was after he checked out of his first read. He got screwed with the Ertz drop, but that was another good throw. Those are encouraging and those are what we need to see more of.

Didn't play bad by any means, but it's not a performance thats super reassuring either. We saw a lot of issues that we saw last season pop up again with QB play. Passes to TEs, points and opportunities left on the field, drops (which are not all on Hurts, obviously), WRs failing to get involved. I hope things will improve once Smith gets back and we see more than two drives.

So in other word Jalen played like a guy in his 5th start you’re clearly over analyzing in a preseason game, because he’s not Wentz? As for your criticism of Wentz it was about as basic as it gets. You’re a fraud dude.

This is what we have to go off of in regards to Hurts, in addition to his starts last season. It is what it is. No one expects perfection, but when he has shown issues that he had going back to college that still pop up, it's a concern. He needs to correct some things. Sorry that hurts your feelings. In any case you got it flipped. You shouldn’t be over analyzing a guy who’s barley played or even claiming to have irrefutable proof or undeniable evidence this kid sucks after 4 regular season games with a bad football team or one preseason start.
