Build your offense around someone that should be a kick returner and watch the bottom fall out in the playoffs?

I mean... You're really not wrong. The Ravens are a lot of fun to watch in the regular season but bottom line I wouldn't want to build our team around that approach.

Ravens biggest issue is Lamar doesn't really have all that much talent to throw to.

100% Reid always talked about doing a better job and running the ball more. So did Pederson, but I can’t help but wonder if th FO has too much say here. When the rumors came out that Lurie wasn’t happy with that Green Bay win a few years ago, because the Eagles ran too much it concerned me. Can the coaches really do their jobs properly if the FO is constantly meddling?

I do not remember that story but I can't believe that Lurie would not happy about a win because of the way the game was played. I call BS on the usless clickbaiter that spun that nonsense up and claimed it to be sports news. Lurie is smart enough kto know how hard it is to win week in and week out in the NFL.

You can choose to believe want you want, but it is a circulated story. When it comes to the Eagles FO anything is possible. Since Ray Rhodes the Eagles have basically been a heavy pass first team.

I love how you pull the stats for the win, but not the stats for the loss.

Next one to win a Super Bowl will be the 1st.

That's not entirely true. I would consider Steve Young, Russell Wilson and Pat Mahommes running qb's.

Spread offense mixed with zone read are parts of a lot of teams offensive packages in the NFL now.

The original WCO style has been dead for a long time. Coaches had to start to change it up by mixing in elements of other offensive styles because Bill Belichick killed the WCO.

We shall see. Lurie is still the owner and he still wants to pass more than run. Or so we've heard.

As does pretty much the whole league.

Lamar Jackson sucks. Dude can't hit the side of a barn. So do I want an offense like the Ravens? No Thank You

We built our offense around a guy who went to one playoff game and then once again bowed out. 😂Yeah that traditional stuff sure is working out for the Eagles.

Problem is we always try and copy another team, but it is after the league has figured that team out.

We tried the NE two TE offense, years after it was successful.

The league has figured out Lamar Jackson, now we are going to copy it.  DUMB.

Who were we copying when Chip Kelly was hired?

Last I checked, Lamar Jackson was not with the Eagles.

Well if you simply look at the majority of coaches they have hired the prof is pretty much there.

That excuse only applies to Carson Wentz around here. 😂

Last I checked Lamar Jackson plays for the Ravens and the title of the post is "Do it like the Ravens"

So why would I want to do it like the Ravens when the QB for the Ravens sucks and is a run only QB? Do I want the Eagles offense to play Hurts like the Ravens play Jackson? No. Is that better explained for you?

He doesn't suck - he was league MVP by unanimous vote.  And believe it or not, there are no set rules we have to follow in the group.   There's a bit of room to discuss things.  But you choose to be a putz and act like a fool instead.  I'm glad I'm not a low IQ person like you.

The NFL's consensus choice for Most Valuable Player has officially assumed the throne.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was named the 2019 NFL MVP on Saturday at NFL Honors in downtown Miami. Jackson earned all 50 first-place votes, making him only the second unaimous MVP in NFL history (Tom Brady, 2010).

Jackson was a source of pure spectating delight in 2019, shredding opposing defenses while leading the league in touchdowns with 36 passing scores and seven trips to the end zone on the ground. Jackson threw for 3,127 yards and posted a 113.3 passer rating, with the latter mark exceeding the average rating of an MVP quarterback (107.8) en route to the AFC's top seed.

That's not all, of course. Jackson rushed for 1,206 yards, breaking Michael Vick's single-season record for a quarterback in the process and obliterating the average mark for an MVP quarterback (131). He more than tripled the average mark for rushing touchdowns with his seven scores.

Jackson's league-leading marks in passing touchdowns and quarterback rushing yards made him just the second quarterback to do so in NFL history, joining Hall of Famer Steve Young, who did so in 1994 with nearly 1,000 less rushing yards. Jackson's 1,206 yards also landed him at sixth place in the entire NFL in rushing yards.

Jackson became the youngest quarterback to ever win MVP at 22 years, 358 days old (on Dec. 31, 2019) while leading the NFL's No. 1 scoring offense (33.2 points per game). With Jackson at the controls, Baltimore finished first or second in five key offensive categories: points per game, total yards per game, rushing yards per game, big plays per game and red-zone percentage. Jackson also posted the second-highest passing touchdown percentage (9.0) in the Super Bowl era (minimum 350 attempts).

Jackson's season could only get better if his Ravens were able to reach the Super Bowl. Baltimore's 14-2 finish didn't carry over into the postseason, as the Ravens were eliminated by the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round.

His MVP makes him the first Ravens player to win the award.

He only won the MVP because of his running game getting over 1200 yards and his team had the best record in the NFL. His passing was not impressive at all on any season he played. Your 2019 League MVP also lost in the Div round single handedly when they were the number one seed. He might have had yards but in the end his 3 turn overs lost them that game.  When you play in a crap div, yea you look good. So yea..............................

He sucks

Yah, he didn't deserve the UNANIMOUS vote to be MVP - because  . . . .   you decided so.

😂😂😂😂😂

If a team has you figured out, but you execute your plays/scheme against them properly,  you still win.

They by far have the best scouting department in the NFL and they by far have the best culture in the NFL. I live close to Baltimore and the players who retired as a Raven can’t stay away from the organization. The front office followed the blueprints of Ozzie Nelson like it’s the BIble. I really am impressed by the knowledge and passion of the fans too. I’ve seen so many Redskins fans switch to the Ravens because of how bad of a organization Dan Snyder was running until he signed Ron Rivera and anew front office that has finally put some stability inside the front office. The Ravens are top notch in every aspect. The Eagles did pick up Joe Douglas and honestly o wish we would have found a way to keep him over Howie Roseman but Lurie will never get rid of Howie.  The Jets are going to be looking like the Ravens and are already starting to.

his talent evaluations on offensive and defensive lineman are off the charts if you look at the guys he brought in. His only issues were WR evaluations. That’s why they always signed veterans like Steve Smith, Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin Ect. The secondary evaluations were outstanding too. It’s absolutely insane how many hits they have had. Almost every player they draft make the team and 75% were starters at least and serious impact players. The Ravens are phenomenal

Lamar averages 10.5 rushes per game. The 3 guys you mentioned are half that or less.

Vince Lombardi based his offense entirely around the power sweep. Everyone knew it was coming, and they still couldn’t stop it. If the team is good they should be able to overcome it. Bottom line the coaches need to just do better with the talent they have.

Yup. Idky some fans refuse this claim.  That is why the winning teams stay on top.

Because it’s easy to simply say mobile quarterbacks don’t win. They’re basing their logic off a very small sample size. Funny thing is if I told the people that quarterbacks drafted in the top five rarely win Super Bowls they would scoff at the notion and want the Eagles to draft another guy in the top 5. Truth is the Manning’s are the only quarterbacks who won Super Bowls drafted in the top 5 over the past 20 years. The next guy would be Elway. Nevertheless everyone who says no to the mobile quarterback (even though Steve Young was also a mobile quarterback and he won a Super Bowl) would absolutely want the Eagles to go out and draft another Quarterback in the top 5.

This is a valid point, but in today's NFL, you do need to stay ahead of the curve.  I remember the Eagles in a playoff game in Dallas in 2009 when the Cowboys knew the plays we were going to run before the ball was snapped.  It's a different league and a different era than during the 60's - but yes, execution is of the utmost importance.

Even today teams can know what the other team is doing, but fail to stop it. Heck the Cowboys on time tried to triple team Randy Moss and still got burned. 😂
