ESPN has the Eagles ranked #3 most likely in "worst to first" category this year.  It happens every season so why not?

In a division when they haven’t had back to back divisional winners in a long time, coupled with the fact this division is horrible it could happen. I wouldn’t bet on it though.

ESP? sure...

The Eagles finished just 2 1/2 games out of first last year while the other last place teams finished 11, 10. 9, 8, 8, 8 and 6 games out in their divisions ... so being named the 3rd most likely to go from worst to first is actually pretty insulting.

The eagles realistically won’t be in the playoffs this year,it’s definitely not out of the question but with the lack of depth we have besides along our lines and to a degree our running backs and TEs we have no depth anywhere else. So if injuries were to happen like last season we really doesn’t have a chance unless Howie uses the waiver and adds talent on the Safties, CBS, linebacker, WR and even our special teams gunners and returners.!

I believe if we can stay healthy and our depth can continue to progress we do have a shot but I’m actually just hoping for excitement on games and if’s lose that’s okay because this coming off season we have so much money and picks to complete our roster and replenish some real talent across the team. I’ll be closely hoping for the Dolphins demise and scars on to stay healthy and play well enough to keep him as QB1 but still not make the playoffs.

Could you imagine adding s player like Davsnte Adams along with DeVonte Smith ? We could easily have the great duo of route runners ever to play together.l. Nick Sirisni really seems to have riuterunning as a huge criteria for his WRs.so I could definitely see Howie Roseman making him a top target. I believe the Eagles will. OT be in the running for Deshaun Watson and not do I want him. If Jalen Hurts isn’t the answer or the team feels he is ready I actually think  the one QB we could actually go after is Aaron Rodgers. All the young bluechip talent we could add on draft day would still influx a ton of youth, while adding Rodgers and Davante would please players like Cox, Graham, Kelce and Brooks to end there careers in having a chance to win a SuperBowl within the next two years. Also with three first round picks if we decided to draft a QB I don’t think Rodgers would care now.l because I think he will retire in the next 2-3 years anyway and so the QB could sit behind him and watch what it takes to be great.

I don't think the Eagles make the play offs but I also think there's a good chance they see a move towards the norm in terms of injuries. And if they do then they have a chance.

We've all been disappointed with the depth guys in the preseason  games but some of them have looked decent in TC. The reality is if we have a ton of injuries then yeah we will struggle but that's true of every team. If we suffer the odd injury then we may be alright.

I agree but the guy selecting the 3 1st round players makes me nervous.

This team needs a lot more than 3 first rounders too. I would trade back with two of them and create a large pool of quality picks over multiple years.

Yes but getting a chance to select three players in the first round is almost unheard of.. This could help give us a bright young core that can grow a new culture and bring respect back to that Eagles. We have some excellent additions already Smith Dickerson, and Williams look like building blocks for the future Gainwell, McPherson also have the looks of promising players. If we can continue to stack some new DLineman and some young talent at corner we can really turn this franchise around fast

I'm not saying trade out of round 1 entirely. But if you're picking at 6, take a trade back between 8-12 while picking up another 2nd. Trades like that.

I’m totally with you my guy, I would like to see that happen to our two later firsts. Trade back twice gain some really nice day two picks and have about 7 or 8 picks in the first 3 rounds and really start adding some serious talent and depth that can be impact players off the bat and some guys who have serious abilities but maybe need a year or two to develop their bodies or own in certain techniques they need to develop before they can really be starters. I really hope we don’t trade all of them away to move up and select a QB, next draft should be more about filling the roster with serious players all throughout our roster so either Hurts can get a real chance to see how he fairs and or move on after year 3 and then add Nicks choice of a QBin 2023

I agree and it also depends who is still there to draft at those 3 1st round picks.

I know they need CB but if the options available at those spots aren't worth it then trade back.

We have a good core on offense to rebuild with and grow Hurts, Smith, Raegor, Watkins, Goedert, Mailata Dickerson , Samuelo, Driscoll, Minshew, Sanders, Gainwell. That’s quite a bit of youth and talent to start with. Defense is where we need a huge influx in youth. Sweat , Williams, Barnett if he could ever stay healthy, Singleton, Taylor was doing well early in camp and got first team reps. Our whole secondary needs a ton of talent and youth added. Avonte could be our long term nickel and McPherson could be good but it’s too early, everything after that is highly questionable

I'm excited about this year because...

Super Bowl !!!!!

I'd say our chances this year are similar to those of that time we won it.

Lets go underdogs. 🏈:Eagle_smiley:

The best way to think about this season is to have no expectations. Just sit back, enjoy the games, see if Hurts can be the guy, and if Sirianni plus his staff can coach. I just hope Howie doesn’t do something stupid like give up the draft capital and cap space he’s built up by going for broke on another malcontent quarterback who won 4 games last year with a big contract.
