This domestic terrorist should lose all help from FEMA in addition to going to prison.

Militia? It should say Trump supporters.

An email sent by the U.S. Forest Service to federal responders in Rutherford County alerted them of an apparent standdown after National Guard troops reportedly encountered armed militia saying they were "hunting FEMA."

One person has been arrested in connection to the threat, CBS News confirmed on Monday.

Pretty sad.  These people have the audacity to be actual U.S. Citizens and expect assistance :nonono:

Yeah, sad.  What’s also sad is Johnson refusing to bring congress back to work on a package to help those very same people.  Awful.

If anyone remembers that dog that was tied up to a fence in Tampa, FHP arrested its former owner and charged him with felony animal cruelty.

It’s called editing, and programs do it all the time. There is usually a link to the full interview at some point during the aired interview. I’d imagine if you don’t know how headlines work, this concept would be foreign as well.

They found the dog guy and he's every bit as hispanic as you'd guess.

Two days later, Aldama Garcia went to the Hillsborough County Animal Shelter to attempt to retrieve the dog and showed pictures as proof of ownership, according to the affidavit.

When the Leon County Animal Shelter, which had possession of the dog, contacted Aldama Garcia, he reportedly told the shelter that "if the current foster will take good care and love the dog, he will surrender ownership," the affidavit stated. Aldama Garcia filled out the required paperwork to surrender ownership, according to the affidavit.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said during a press briefing on Tuesday that since the rescue, Trooper is now in Tallahassee and will be adopted.

"We said at the time, you don't just tie up a dog and have them out there for a storm, totally unacceptable, and we're going to hold you accountable," DeSantis said. "We said you'd be held accountable, and you will be held accountable."

he former owner of the dog -- identified by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as Giovanny Aldama Garcia, 23, of Ruskin, Florida -- was arrested on Monday for aggravated animal cruelty, a felony.

State Attorney Suzy Lopez, whose office is prosecuting the case, also announced the arrest on Tuesday, saying, "We take this crime very seriously and this defendant will face the consequences of his actions."

Aldama Garcia was released Tuesday on $2,500 cash bond, according to online jail records. ABC News' attempts to reach him were unsuccessful. Online court records do not list any attorney information.

The amount of stupid to go back to try and retrieve the dog

As if folks in Florida didn't have enough to worry about, State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis announced on Oct. 9 that after Hurricane Helene came through in September, at least 48 fires involving lithium-ion batteries had been reported -- 11 in electric vehicles. "Floridians living on the coastline who own EVs are at risk of those EVs being inundated with saltwater storm surge, which presents a dangerous fire threat to Florida families and homes," Patronis said, according to WFTS-TV. Other products like electric scooters, golf carts or children's toys also could be affected. "These compromised vehicles and devices are ticking time bombs," Patronis said. He suggested people move affected vehicles away from their homes. [WFTS, 10/9/2024]
