Predicting NFL teams most likely to improve in 2021: Numbers, history say these five will win more games - ESPN+
Like the Niners, in addition to getting healthy, the Eagles will count on turning the ball over less frequently. With Wentz and Hurts both struggling to protect the football, the Eagles turned the ball over 29 times despite recovering more than 70% of their offensive fumbles a year ago. (The league average was 53.7%.) They finished with a turnover margin of minus-10, which was just behind the 49ers for the fourth-worst mark. Philly’s defense intercepted just eight passes all season, which ranked 29th. New defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon will have to hope that a secondary anchored by Darius Slay and Anthony Harris will pick off more passes in 2021. And to make one final comparison to the Niners, the Eagles should be hoping to ride an easier schedule to a better record. Despite playing in the national disaster that was the NFC East last season, FPI estimates that they faced the NFL’s 11th-toughest schedule. Heading into 2021, FPI has them down for the eighth-easiest set of opponents.

Eagles-Jets Training Camp Practice Notes: Philadelphia outshines New York - BGN
The Jets’ starting offense didn’t have much success against the Eagles’ starting defense. NYJ fumbled away their first possession before then going three-and-out on their next try when practice narrowed down to one field towards the end of the session. Philly’s defensive line was causing a lot of trouble for New York. Javon Hargrave was especially disruptive.

Brandon Lee Gowton and Jimmy Kempski discuss the biggest takeaways from the first Eagles-Jets joint training camp practice! The guys touch on the Birds looking like the better team, Jalen Hurts’ ups and downs, Philly’s defensive domination, MVPs/LVPs,and much more!

Jalen Hurts should absolutely start the Eagles’ preseason finale - PhillyVoice
Jalen Hurts must play in the final preseason game against the Jets. It’s that simple. There is no way the Eagles can honestly say this is about giving Hurts a fair and honest look at the position without also giving him the basic preparation that comes from the preseason.

10 truths to be self-evident in the 2021 season ahead - PE.com
The Eagles are going to have a lot of guys in QB’s face. They are going to come from everywhere in this defense. It’s not going to be just Fletcher Cox or Brandon Graham or Josh Sweat. The Eagles have depth in pass-rush talent, and it’s going to be fun to watch offenses try to figure out from where the pressure is coming. Off the edge? Sure, the Eagles can bring it. Inside heat? Oh, for sure. The goal is to collapse the pocket and the Eagles have, well, pocket collapsers. There may not be a single guy who hits double digits, but after watching this defensive line this summer, the Eagles have the pieces to generate some H-E-A-T. Good, old-fashioned Eagles defense.

10 Eagles on the bubble before final roster push vs. Jets - NBCSP
Le’Raven Clark — Clark is off the Active/PUP list and he’s been ramping up. In these practices, he just needs to show he’s healthy. There are some questions about the depth at the tackle spot, especially because Andre Dillard is still here and clearly shouldn’t be a starter. If Clark looks healthy this week, he offers the Eagles a veteran backup.
