TomatoPie Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Yeah, he's a cockroach, he lasted far longer than I predicted, escaping one self-made crisis after another. From the very beginning, a Trump presidency could only end in disaster. When and How are the only questions. Not making any predictions, but I enjoyed this Twitter thread: Quote Uncle Blazer @blakesmustacheThread: No, Trump is not winning Trump can be taken down by revelation of his tax and bank records, or by release of the unredacted Mueller Report or his counterintelligence files. This explains how unlikely it is Trump can keep those bodies buried for the next 6 months. On May 12, SCOTUS will hear two separate cases seeking Trump’s tax and bank records (see my pinned thread for details). Trump is likely to lose both of those cases and the House and the Manhattan DA are likely to have his financial records by August. Trump’s financial records will reveal that he is a front man for the Russian mob specializing in money laundering and financial fraud, rendering him hopelessly compromised. He’s a Russian agent, and his financial records will prove it. Meanwhile, Trump is in two legal fights to keep the Mueller Report redacted. The case brought by the House will be teed up for SCOTUS by June, and the judge in the FOIA case will be sitting down soon to review the unredacted report and decide if it should be released publicly. We don’t know exactly what’s hiding in the Mueller Report redactions, but we know Barr was in charge of making them and Trump and Barr have fought like cornered rats to keep them hidden. That means they must be explosive. Trump also is fighting to cover up the results of the many counterintelligence investigations he’s faced over the years. The Senate Intel Committee told us just this week they are preparing to release a counterintelligence report in the coming months. That could be revealing. But even if Trump can somehow keep his secrets from being revealed through legal channels, can he silence every single potential whistleblower? We know Trump is terrified of whistleblowers. That’s why he’s firing the Inspectors General who would receive whistleblower complaints. All it would take to bring Trump down is one brave employee at Deutsche Bank or Mazars, one disgruntled Trump Org employee, or one brave FBI, CIA, NSA, or Treasury employee. You really think Trump doesn’t realize that there are literally hundreds of people who could rat him out? And what about all of Trump’s accomplices? Don’t you think they are getting nervous as Biden continues to dominate Trump in the polls? I don’t know about you, but if I were a Trump accomplice, I’d be just about ready to flip on him. Trump only appears to be getting away with it because he hasn’t been caught yet, but Trump knows he’s wading through an alligator swamp slathered in chum. The only questions are which alligator is going to pull him under, and which step will be his last.
mayanh8 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 If, as a country, we can collectively make it through Trump's presidency without unwittingly committing mass suicide by imbibing bleach then I will consider that winning. 1

I did put some bleach in my covefe, which had the unintended result of whitening up the, ummmm, exit portion of my covefe journey. And since MAGA is all about whitening up, bleach is surely the official liquid of the Reich. 2
toolg Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Trump's strength is he wields power. Crazy thing about the presidency is the term ends at some point. Once he's out of office, watch his gang flip immediately.
dawkins4prez Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 I've been as bullish as anyone about Trump over these last 4+ years. One of the first in here to call him going all the way, as early as January 2016. Calling his flipping of the rust belt, especially Penn & Mich. Never once did I pay any heed to the possibility of his getting ousted by Russia/Mueller or by Ukraine impeachment. I liked his chances to defeat almost all of the Democrat candidates. Yes I have full on TDS, but at no point ever can anyone accuse me of being anything but super bullish on Trump politically. I am telling you he is going to get CRUSHED in November. It is going to be an epic flop, WWE style, off the top rung. The combination of Rust Belt strong Biden, a female VEEP and a pummeled Coronavirus economy is going to destroy Trump in the election. We are going to hear a lot about President's being forgiven for Black Swan events, but the problem is that this Blackest of Black Swan events destroys the credibility of Trump's biggest asset: his LUCK. Before COVID nobody could really pinpoint why we thought Trump was great for the economy. Something about a tax cut and something something about consumer confidence. But we knew that he had a reputation for being lucky, born with a silver spoon and a Golden Horseshoe in his crib, as long as he was POTUS, it would rub off on America. Now that has come crashing down, as well as any hope that he could unite us under any circumstances. On top of that, mothers, the same suburban mothers that flipped the House in the mid terms, are not going to forgive a president that put the health of the nation in jeopardy. Trump is TOAST. A lot can happen from here to there that can tighten it up a little bit, but nowhere near enough for Trump to actually be competitive. The Democrats know where the swing states are this time, they won't get sneak attacked again. Trump is going down, and I fear for all our safeties when he realizes this and is still POTUS. 1
Gannan Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 If he wins and COVID-19 is still spreading we wont survive. The democrats are taking the senate. If Trump somehow wins, he will likely get himself impeached again and be removed this time. Trumpbots will want to secede. If Trump keeps getting heavy handed with the states before he's removed, states will want to secede. A vote for Biden is a vote to save the union and the duty of any patriotic American. 3

I have some slim hope that in December he issues a poopload of pardons to fellow criminals, maybe even proactive pardons to Jared and Ivanka and Junior, then resigns so that Pence can pardon him. "Mike, did you just fart?" "No, Mr. President, but would you like me to?" 1

If he gets whooped as badly as I think he will, Democrats are going to (erroneously) believe that means America has an appetite to see Trump behind bars. So yes, without a doubt, the scenario of mass pardons/resignation/double down pardons by Pence is wholly viable and in play.
Alpha_TATEr Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 I see this ending with trump leaving, kicking and screaming like lil kid who doesn't want to go to the dentist office. of course claiming the election was rigged by the deep state, yadda yadda yadda. 3 1
jsdarkstar Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 November can't get here soon enough. Biden is going to beat him like a Red Headed Step child. 1

hey suess Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 When he loses, he’ll blame the stupidity of the American people for him losing. He’ll make ridiculous statements about how his businesses will be so much better off, and how much more money he can make, now that he’s not the president. He won’t attend events that other past-presidents will attend. He’ll blame his presidential failures on the Washington system, and name names just to perpetuate his childishness. And he’ll be constantly getting into hot water for saying things that he’s not allowed to say. He’s going to be the most forgotten president since Benjamin Harrison. 1

Every answer he gives to any question will start off with the words, "I never wanted to be president anyway..." And that will be the most truthful thing he'll have ever said since being elected. 5

Oh, the lunacy of trump will last a few generations. But, historically, the inefficiency will cause this administration to be forgotten about.

lynched1 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Such short memories. This presidency has been awesome since election night.

As a boomer, for my lifetime I have wondered how people could be so stupid to support Hitler or Mussolini. What kind of madness is that. As a boomer, I get why the kids say OKBoomer. I thought it was a reference to the mascot for the Tulsa minor league team, but in fact it's a reference to how privileged we (white) boomers act and how unwoke we are and how we (not me) were drawn to this orange buffoon as protector of Our Way Of Life by keeping the good stuff from the Brown People. I see it every day from my lifelong friends on Facebook. White boomers are (as a group, not individually, cos I'm OK) awful people.
