The further the NBA separates itself from BLM, the half-coherent race baiter LeBron James, and political nonsense in general, their ratings will improve

Say what?

The National Basketball Association made a record $1.46 billion in sponsorship revenue in its 2020-21 regular season, according to estimates by IEG, a sports partnerships consultancy firm. IEG said the figure is up 6% year over year, and up from the $1.2 billion the NBA made from partnerships after its 2018-19 season.

The NBA saw 13 new deals during its 72-game campaign, including from Microsoft. The tech sector helped the league bring in roughly $115 million per year in new spending. IEG said tech categories, lottery, gaming, telecommunications and banking pay more than $100 million annually for NBA sponsorships

Not sure where this goes, but I figure this is probably the closest.  Apparently the Cleveland Monsters are considered an NHL team.

This happened very close to me, and is F'ing tragic. Way worse, obviously, than losing some fingers like JPP. I don't understand the issue with the headline though. Where do they insinuate the Monsters are an NHL team?

Tell me you're Ben Shapiro's wife without telling me you're Ben Shapiro's wife.

In the piece, they note that several NHL teams released statements, then post the Monsters tweet as an example.  Just before this in the piece, they note that the commissioner released a statement, then showed that tweet.  I think it was just a poor choice of an example for them to use, since they’re not an NHL team.  After the tweet they used, they don’t note that the Monsters are the AHL affiliate, which further leads me to believe they just didn’t know that they’re not an NHL team.

I wasn’t sure where to put this that would’ve been appropriate, and probably no spot would’ve been right.

Oh gotcha, yeah they probably should've at least mentioned them as an AHL team.

He played for the blue jackets, a few games at least. This he was technically "an NHL player." I didn't see any headlines or anything suggesting the Monsters are an NHL team though.

Actually I thought it looked like a good combo.   Maybe the best and biggest decision he will make during his presidency
