July 8, 20232 yr No, Donald Trump Jr. Was Not Banned From Australia https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-jr-australia-tour-postponed-banned-1810933 Quote Turning Point Australia said that due to "unforeseen circumstances," the tour has been postponed and will be rescheduled in the coming days. There was online speculation that the tour was canceled altogether because Trump Jr. was not able to gain a visa allowing him access to the country, which has now been denied. Quote "This 'postponement' follows Rupert Murdoch's papers and TV channels madly promoting the event in recent weeks, possibly to try to overcome the poor ticket sales we believe also resulted from our #MFWBoycott and all the associated bad publicity coming from our #DumpTrumpAU campaign," the group tweeted. The family is a laughing stock, except the in law, who seems the only one capable of grifting on the scale of his father in law.
July 14, 20232 yr I don't know, where is all this talk about Hunter coming from? The lack of self-awareness is staggering.

Bruh, it went from "there's no way the hunter biden laptop story is real" to "the hunter biden laptop story? What an invasion of privacy!"

The title is clickbait, but it's mainly about how educated liberals ought to be more self-aware and conscious of how policies they often support - more permissive immigration policies and free trade for example (the latter being rather funny in context of the last 40 years but whatever) - can have negative short term effects on the very people they claim to be morally superior to. Honestly it's a rehash of articles that proliferated after Trump won in 2016. Dems went through this period of self-reflection over how they missed all these voters who went from Obama to Trump in the rust belt.

But I don't see how you can always win both sides of the argument. This is why we need common-sense, educated conservatives; to temper these policies and think about short-term repercussions. To push forth policy that's going to have positive effect. Instead we have anti-liberal conservatives. All they want to do is the exact opposite of what liberals are doing, constantly pulling us back, getting us nowhere. It's not about policy to them, it's only about winning.

We need more Kinzingers and (far) fewer MTGs.
