No thanks, he's not much better than what they already have.

He doesn't stack shed and tackle, he's got bad instincts, he's undersized and isn't nearly the athlete he was before his college injury.

Jaylon Smith is a loose cannon, not a very disciplined player and also just not all that good.   IMO he would be bad for team chemistry.

If Dallas releases you during the season like that, there are some real issues.   Those guys will take on anyone as long as the team wins.

Save $ over long term and his play dropped off. Sideline to sideline speed isnt quite there anymore.

 

With that said, hes probably better than what we have. Jamar Chaney and Brian Rolle were better than what we have out there now.

The Eagles absolutely should try and sign him. The one caveat I would have is that our track record of signing players from within the division isn't very good.

The Eagles need to make a move to sign Smith they sure could use a LB with his talent .
