Nobody is talking about Elliott…. - which is a good thing.

After last year’s really bad season, he has rebounded to be one of the better kickers in the league. No missed extra points. No misses from 20-39, 2 of 2 from 50 plus. Currently career best 87.5% on field goals.

Good to have him back and avoided a tricky situation with his contract. He was huge for us in the Super Bowl year.

Yup, been nary a peep about him this year, which is good.

Glad he bounced back, one less thing to worry about

The whole flippin' team sucked last year for whatever reason. Kicker certainly isn't a glamor position but I believe they contribute the most points of any player on the team many years. Ask teams who don't have a reliable kicker how important they are. Ask the Detroit Lions how important kickers are.

Jake has had a good season, so far.

I kicked in HS Football. Also played OLB. Best kick ever in a game was 36 yards. In practice (with not much of a rush) was 45 yards. This was back in the late 80's when 1-2 inch kicking tees were used. My point? Hmmmm, not sure. LOL. I guess it may be how talented some of these kickers are, making 50+ yarders routinely with a decent rush in their face, with maybe 70K fans maybe screaming at them, with the entire game on the line, etc...

I've been an NFL fan since the mid 60s, and it really is amazing how much better the kickers are now.

Yeah. I'm not even kidding when I say that someone like Pete Gogolak or Jan Stenerud (in their prime) wouldn't even make an NFL roster today.

I remember the days when a 50-yarder was almost impossible to make.

If I had that power I would post a "Cowboys are going to win it all” thread.

Someone made a super confident posting like that just before the thanksgiving game.. 😁
