time2rock
Jake Elliott wins award an Eagle hasn’t won in over a decade Jake Elliott was perfect in the month of November and now he has a little reward. Elliott was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the month. It’s the first time in his career winning this award. And Elliott becomes the first Eagle to win the award since David Akers in November of 2010. Elliott, 26, was 8-for-8 on field goals and 11-for-11 on extra points in November. Two of his eight field goals were from 50+. Elliott was previously the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 16 points against the Saints in Week 11. In the month, he totaled 35 points. This has been a bounce-back season for Elliott, who struggled in 2020, making just 73.7% of his field goals and just 2 of 5 from 50+. "Yeah, obviously, wasn't here last year, but just knowing Jake [Elliott] around the league and hearing his name, you always know this guy's a very good kicker,” Eagles special teams coordinator Michael Clay said on Nov. 16. "And it's just kudos to him refocusing on what got him here and that's just his fundamentals, working with Arryn (Siposs) and Rick (Lovato) in the offseason, getting that down. Obviously, it's a new holder, so there’s going to be something new. "But they've been fantastic and kudos to all three of those guys, just working hand and hand and they have been operating like a well-oiled machine.” In 2021, Elliott has made 18 of 20 field goals and all three from 50+. His field goal percentage of 90% is by far the highest in his five-year NFL career. And he’s been perfect on extra points, making 30 of 30. https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/eagles-jake-elliott-named-nfc-special-teams-player-month

PoconoDon
It's all about maintaining that consistency over a long, long time. Still, congrats!
