Swedish golf season is coming to an end.  I played yesterday in 55 degree weather and on a pristine course.  However, the nights are starting to get cold and our club closes at the end of this weekend to protect the greens and fairways. Luckily, I'll be in southeast North Carolina in a couple of weeks so I'll get to extend the year another month.

Can't complain about the season though I had some issues with my knee.  Overall, I was satisfied and got my game back down into the 80s for the most part.

The Swedish family that just visited us are huge golfers. They do the indoor thing during the winter.

Yeah, not something I've been that interested in but my brother-in-law is trying to talk me into joining him this year.  I suppose I should give it a try in any case.

Snuck in 18. Three bad holes but otherwise strong. Cant wait to come back in the spring with a bionic hip

Shot 71 today. One under. Two birds one bogie and 15 pars

Tough day, happens

btw - Guess you've been to Myrtle.  Have you played The Dunes?  I haven't but have a time booked in a few weeks.  Not a golf trip per se but we will play a couple of times with rented clubs.  I booked Tidewater and The Dunes for now and will add another up in Calabash, NC.  Maybe Oyster Bay.

Havent been there in ages. I love kiawah if i am heading south

dont think i have played the Dunes. I recall playing where Sports Illustrated was started

Played first time in 6 weeks on Sunday. New to me course. Started 11 and 11 on the opening par 4 and par 5. Then I had five pars in a row to make me not want to entirely quit.

So you didn't touch a club in six weeks and then went out and started 11 and 11?  Did you have a decent warmup?

My first swing was the tee box on hole 1

What is it about the scientific laws of golf that one part of your game has to be off on any given round?

Driving and putting is on? Suddenly you forget how to chip. Every round it's something.

Bc its always something. Its a game of misses and how bad they are.

everything happens in the fraction of a second the ball is on the club face. Plane, angle Of attack, alignment, grip…couple degrees here and there is all it takes to miss

Yep, I concur. We just finished a week of golf/fishing in NC just north of Myrtle and I had plenty of shots that were a millimeter off. 😂

Yep. Sure is. Last round I got 12 feet from the pin in two on a par 5 and sent it down the slope going for eagle instead of playing it safe. It's rare, and I wanted it, but I missed bad. Got a bogey on the next. That's golf.

To add to your list wind, temperature, green speed to start the round vs the sun coming out. So many things. If it was easy it would be boring, though.

Rim outs piss me off more that missing by a foot. One I just shrug and say I read it wrong. Rim outs I kick myself. If I would have just...

Nice! Your putting and chipping will be great once you are able to start swinging again.
