You probably have very different clubs. The lofts and shafts can make a big difference.

Wilson did that with their D9 irons. 7i was really a 6i loft.

Callaway seriously loft jacks to boost distance

But some of that had to be done in the new technology to get the ball flight down. My 530s are within a degree of my old t200s but they give a 5 yd gain. Also got back to the kbs shafts

What they screwed up in all that was the spin rates for the amatuers. Coming in at a lower angle with less spin is why agents shots didnt hold the greens. And when you play tournament level courses spin rates are even more important

I golfed my first every 36 this past weekend. As in total number of holes in one day, sadly not my score for 9. This was the day after golfing 18... 54 holes in 27 hours wasn't half bad.

I think they are overdoing it with the rough and green speeds this yr

They need to be creative to keep some of these gems in the rotation. We have Merion again in a few years and they need to figure it out. The greens saved Merion last time. It was horribly wet though so the drives were like darts.

Give Spaun credit, he's not a big name but that drive on 17 and the putt on 18 were as good as you'll ever see in a major. On a brutal course too

For Spaun to come back and win, after the unbelievably cruddy luck he had to start his round yesterday, was awesome. Most would have caved and never recovered.
