DaEagles4Life Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 STFU China More than 1 million Uighurs and other minorities from Xinjiang are believed to be held in internment camps, where they are forced to study Marxism, renounce their religion, work in factories and face abuse, according to human rights groups and first-hand accounts. Beijing says these "re-education camps" provide vocational training and are necessary to fight extremism. 3
JohnSnowsHair Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 At least rhetorically, no nation has been held accountable more than the US in history. We've had plenty of missteps and haven't always lived up to our ideals, but I'd put our record ahead of anybody. I mean holy hell we've policed shipping lanes for almost a century, helped rebuild our former enemies from WW2 into modern liberal democracies, and export a crapton of dollars to desperate nations. 7
Gannan Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 China is an evil empire and a danger to free people and free thought everywhere. They are the enemy and need to be treated as such. 2

Evidence indicates that Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghur Muslims, Tibetans and other prisoners have been further subject to forced live organ harvesting. ... These 'organ tourists' travel from all over the world to buy an organ from a non-consenting prisoner for a minimum of around £5,000 (€5,857). 1

I wouldn’t go that far. During the Cold War be the U.S. was responsible for a lot of death and destruction in the Third World. Just take Vietnam as an example. Americans tend to focus on the 60,000 U.S. troops that were lost there instead of the 2,000,000 Vietnamese who were killed. China was more or less part of the Second World that was contesting the U.S. in Asia especially.

The communist regime engaging in large scale assassinations of South Vietnamese leadership didn't precipitate the conflict? This was a civil war that we got involved in because of the larger strategy of containment, putting the entirety of the conflict on the bill of the US is disingenuous at best. 3

Sure they factor in a little bit I guess. The USSR was sending the North Vietnamese weapons. China was giving them military advice. So what?

Kz! Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 It's hard to blame China and Russia for posturing against us right now. We have a visibly feeble President both in a mental and physical sense. We've never projected weakness more in the history of our nation. 1 2

So do you think the U.S. shares responsibility for the Soviet’s war in Afghanistan in the 1980s since we were sending the Afghans weapons?

Sure, some obviously. There were a lot of nations with body counts due to our proxy wars during the cold war era.

BTW, this isn't even factoring in the complete and utter joke woke liberals have turned our military into. Between presidential incompetence and woke military, countries are going to flex on us in a way we haven't been used to in our lifetimes. 1
