Fing BS.  NFL set the plan before the season to forfeit games if teams had outbreaks and couldn't compete.  Changing this now is so greedy and lame for teams affected.  Now Eagles will have to play Giants on a short week late in the season?

exactly.

so pissed the eagle game got moved to tuesday. now we will lose to the giants for sure

Bulls***….make them play with their third string QB and bunch of guys signed off the street. Not fair to punish other teams because the opponent has an outbreak

It's BS. The NFL is not following their own rules.

Looks like the Eagles will be part of history.  Has there ever been a game played on a Tuesday ?  Not liking it at all.

You gotta be kidding me!!

Frickin NFL. If WFT screwed up, then they should face the consequences.

Are you a new fan, asking that???? The Eagles have played on a Tuesday before. The Joe Webb Vikings game.

No just, an old one that can’t remember every game.

Rams-Seahawks is also expected to be played at 7:00 PM Tuesday.

I would myself do it where FOX gets Football Team-Eagles at 6:00 PM ET with Rams-Seahawks on CBS at 9:30 PM ET.

Fox doesn't want a double-header in prime time during the week.  The games will be televised regionally and both games will be available on DirecTV.

He had to have been trolling.

That's fing stupid. So we have to play Tuesday and then Sunday? Washington should have to forfeit if they can't play Sunday. Oh also there is a Flyers game Tuesday night. So that'll be fun parking.

There was two Tuesday games and a Wednesday game last year.

They're not even going broadcast the Tuesday games nationally. 😒

I was looking forward to not having to stream.  I guess I'll have to stream.

Guess I have to give up my Eagles Digest subscription now.

long past time to stop testing asymptomatic people and end surveillance testing.

it's now an endemic but for whatever reason they need to perpetuate this forever.

DR. MARTY MAKARY ( Johns Hopkins University ): We're seeing this massive new wave of fear that is fueling our second pandemic after COVID-19, which is a pandemic of lunacy, which is omicron. Now I call it omi-cold. If you look at the epidemiological data, the epicenter is now way down from omicron. The hospitals had some hospitalizations, not much. They were short. They averaged two and a half days instead of eight days. But a study just came out of the University of Hong Kong telling us that omicron does not invade the lung tissue that's deep in the respiratory tract. It stays superficial in the nose and bronchus. So that's why we're seeing a common cold-like illness. This new scientific data from the lab explains the epidemiological data and the bedside observation of doctors that this is far more mild… and that's why I call it omi-cold.

It depends what headline you want, what message you want to send, I can recast any respiratory virus as a potential bubonic plague that's going to destroy the United States. It's just how you present the statistics.

We've got to reduce testing in low-risk situations. If you test everyone in the United States, you will find a virus particle in the nose of some fraction of Americans forever. … We can't go hunting for a problem that is a very mild or asymptomatic illness.

any of the players actually sick? or just the typical asymtomatic positive test?

You should if they missed the fact the Eagles played a game on Tuesday previously.

Have you forgotten the fiasco in 2010 when Banner postponed a Sun. game because of a threatened snowstorm that never came.  The Eagles proceeded to lose out and lose at home to the eventual SB Champion Packers

This is BS. It puts the Eagles at an unfair disadvantage next week and they are in the playoff hunt.  Less recovery time for the players.  And, why are the Eagles getting punished for the WFT not being more careful with covid protocol? Just ridiculous.

With more time to think, I actually would have put BOTH games on FS1 with WFT-PHI at 6:30 (also on FOX in the east) and LAR-SEA at 9:55 PM ET (also on FOX in the west).

That actually would have made sense and been a perfect time to experiment with putting NFL games on FS1, as FS1 is likely to get more exposure anyway if YouTube TV viewers lose ESPN after tonight as many expect.

They need to cancel the game completely. To make it fair to the schedule and playoff picture, give the team with the most recent Super Bowl victory, the W and the team that hasn't won one in decades, the L.
