The NFL just proved it isn't worried about the players health, they are worried about $$$$ over human health, hands down. Rescheduled the game for Tuesday? The Eagles get punished for WTF's (on purpose) failures?

Fox doesn't want a double-header in prime time during the week.  The games will be televised regionally and both games will be available on DirecTV.

Actually, some think this was dictated by A T & T (parent of DIRECTV) wanting to protect their Sunday Ticket package.

BOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

players would not have gotten paid for the week.

Gotta figure NFLPA had some input on this decision.

This re- schedule is fkkked

They need to cancel the game completely. To make it fair to the schedule and playoff picture, give the team with the most recent Super Bowl victory, the W and the team that hasn't won one in decades, the L.

From your lips to God's Goodell's ear.

This is disgusting, almost makes me want to boycott the entire NFL for good.

F this effing stupid league.

As if the NFL would call any game a forfeit and lose the tv ad money.

Screw it.....I want Washington at full strength, no excuses.  If it's Tuesday then so be it.

Maybe they'll move the NYG game to Monday night or something.

The NFL stated teams that blatantly disregarded covid protocols would NOT BE RESCHEDULED, but would have to boycott the game.  That was the NFL's stance. And they disobeyed THEMSELVES. There are a lot of political secrets about the WFT- deep, dark ones that can damage the NFL. Ask Gruden how deep that mess is.

That was based on a completely different set of circumstances, before even the Delta let along Omnicrom variants were know AND it was also based on I believe fewer than 85% of the team being vaccinated.  Every team in the league is over 90% vaccinated so that does NOT apply here, plus, the NFL could not at the time have accounted for Omnicrom doing what it has as that variant wasn't even known until a few weeks ago.

It's all bs anyway. Vaxxed players are getting sick and getting others sick, too, so it's just a no win situation these days. Starting to look like another total sports shut down could be coming. The NBA is all screwed up with this as well.

They should really move next week's Wash-Dal and Eagles-NYG games to Monday. It would make the rest day disparity less of an issue. And since the Eagles and Redskins play each other the week after that, they'd be on the same rest schedule then too.

I would do that (in the case of WFT-DAL, that becoming Monday Night Football while the scheduled MNF game, MIA-NO becomes Sunday Night Football), with also:

Browns-Packers becoming Monday 12/27 at 1:00 PM on FOX and NFL Network

Giants-Eagles, Bears-Seahawks, Broncos-Raiders and Rams-Vikings all moved to 4:25 PM Monday 12/27, either all on CBS or split between FOX and CBS.

That is probably the only Monday the NFL could get away with doing that.

So wait... Our game moves and gives us a really short week because of the WFT and because their vaccination rate is so low? What the hell how is that right and fair.

Fans should boycott this game to show how pissed off they are.

It's just flat out wrong. The Eagles are being punished because the WFT can't get their house in order. This may well cost the Eagles a play off spot.

There's no right way to handle this.  It's either you move the game and have the Eagles play the Giants on a short week or you keep it as scheduled and force Washington to field a JV squad.

They effed up. I say go with the JV squad.

That most definitely would have been my preference as I'm sure is the same for all Eagles fans, I was simply looking at it from the NFL's perspective.  I'm sure they want a competitive game, especially with major playoff implications on the line.

I think you're definitely right. The NFL always proves they're about money first. Safety and everything else is a distant second.

their covid policy isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on
