So their DL gets healthier and comes off the covid list. We have a key OL go on to the list. It's a joke.

Yep.

And these cases are usually not in isolation.  I'd say decent chance that at least one more member of the OL is unavailable because of COVID.

Imagine playing Tuesday without Dickerson, Mailata and/or Kelce.  This after we pushed the game back so that the Redskins could get healthy.

It's not all bad ... the delay allowed us to get Watkins back, as he cleared COVID testing and was activated yesterday afternoon.  So there is that.

I mean... Dickerson or Watkins?

Only trying to focus on the positive since whining about the negative isn't going to change a damn thing.

Neither will being positive bud. 😂

Everyone has a choice to be negative or positive.  I choose the latter.  Makes my life easier.  And I am merely presenting facts (Dickerson out … for now … Watkins in).  The latter is definitely a positive, albeit a small one, but still a positive.

what are the rules for covid testing? could he still play if he has a clean test today or tomorrow?

He needs two negative tests 24 hours apart, so technically it is possible.

If Brooks is available then if they move Herbig to Left guard that isn't that bad providing Brooks isn't hella rusty, but Herbig and Opeta against the Washington line with no depth to spell them sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

herbig scares me at RG so i would never move him , opeta most likely plays and though his size matches up to brooks , he still hasn't put it together as a decent back up.

i know dillard had worked at guard in trained camp if i remember right could be he plays there

Pretty sure Brooks is done for the year isn't he?

Edit:  Guess not - thought I had read that he was done.  Though if I was them I wouldn't send him back out this late in the year just to get hurt again

There is also Toth and also Clark who I believe has some experience playing RG previously.  Not ideal but also not completely devoid of depth at the position.

What reason would he have for screwing over the Eagles?

Common sense in a TATE  thread is unusual so thanks.  Bottom line is this has nothing to do with Goodell.  The Covid testing policies were collectively bargained before vaccines were widespread and the league and the NFLPA have made adjustments because of what happened with the three postponed games. That doesn't help any of the six teams impacted this week but it does allow asymptomatic players to play going forward.

Ya... about that...

Sounds like it's already hit the OL room.

Fortunately so far just one starter and one reserve who likely wouldn’t have dressed anyway (with the lack of depth on the interior OL I’d think players like Toth and Clark who have versatility to playing inside or out would dress before Dillard).  Fingers crossed it doesn’t impact any others.

But hey at least Washington got to get healthy. That's what counts right?

They are still down 16 players to COVID-19 (and now 7 coaches too).   Not sure where the "they get healthy” narrative comes from.

Then they should have played yesterday or forfeited.

Still don’t understand the earlier comment about how WFT "got to get healthy”.  They didn’t.  At least not yet.

Injuries, COVID, but hey he wore a funny outfit that time!

They look like they'll be playing Garrett Gilbert behind a makeshift line and McLaurin still hasn't cleared concussion protocol. If Gannon can't stop that he really should be fired.

They did.  We got screwed.

We lost 2 OL (so far).  They now have 2 DL that are off of the COVID list: Jonathon Allen and Montez Sweat.

There's also a chance that they get Taylor Heinicke and / or Kyle Allen back tonight:
