  I love it when you guys try to make straw-grasping rationalizations for why it's not socialism when you do it.

It comes from tax dollars and pays for a universal social program.  It's socialism.

You're confusing a social program with socialism.  See, you don't even know what socialism is.  Let me help you - socialism is a system that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources.   Here's a link so you can read up and educate yourself instead of making of fool of yourself.

  There it is.  Amazing.  Ya'lls definition of socialism changes daily.  I'm well aware of the technical definition of socialism.  I'm also well aware that Republicans have been calling any and every social program socialism for decades, even if it simply distributes public funds to private institutions, like Obamacare subsidies.

Folks - we have a first.  A poster so clueless that he laughs at his own ignorance.

Son, you had no idea what socialism really is.  And for that matter, the people on these boards are from Philly.  We don't say "ya'll" the way hicks from the deep south do.

So if Joe Biden puts "social programs” in place that take over 99% ownership of property and natural resources through taxation… Are they still just "social programs” or is that socialism?

Depends.  Is it the real Joe Biden or Trump with a Biden face switch ala Face-Off?

It's a pattern with him.

Honestly, I applaud him for actually reading definitions on topics such as socialism and social programs ( not that he understands them yet). The more he reads the more likely he’ll realize what kind of meat head he is just listening to propaganda talking points from right wing media.

It's the situational deployment and acceptance of facts that I find hilarious, but also demoralizing when I think about the social currency in being intellectually honest.

There is literally a net negative reward for politicians being intellectually honest.

We are at our best when there’s a balance of capitalism and socialism. Our politicians have become too partisan to maintain the balance in my opinion.
