He would have been laughed to scorn if he said that back then. But look at him now. His flowers bloomed, just like he said they would. It's funny how someone who sounds a little idiotic actually makes idiots of those calling him an idiot. Say that 10 times rea

Same goes for Doug when he was first at the podium vs. what he was able to achieve.

Hide them all from covid (if that were possible) . Covid is going to decide the playoffs and Super Bowl, so convince the team to do the right things to avoid it at all cost. The healthiest team, not the best team, wins it all this year.

They could get the 6th even with a loss.

You don't honestly think Brady or any star player is going not miss a game do you? I am not usually a conspiracy theorist but really

As crazy as the world has become, nothing would surprise me.

If the Saints win and the 49ers lose, we get the 6th seed even if we lose.

In 22 of 32 scenarios we play the Bucs.

Rushing Defense

Saints 1st

If Howard is fully recovered and they commit to the run, I don’t really care what the defensive rankings are. This team can run on anyone.

The biggest issue to me is which opposing quarterback can we trust Gannon’s defense against. I don’t think they have the discipline to contain the dual threat that Murray presents, and Brady will carve them up. Stafford may do the same, but he’s more likely than Brady to screw up.

Also between facing him or the GOAT...

Gimme Stafford any day.

Though we did beat the 🐐 that one time….

Gannon’s defense is very frustrating. It feels like they’re stinking, but in reality they have been playing great football lately. True it’s been against horrible quarterbacks (though I think WTF’s QB is better than that) but as a whole they have been better against the run and aren’t getting scored on as much.

Is there any chance Sanders is back for the playoffs or is he done ?

Great job BTW, Eagles :towel:

I think there's a chance he makes it back if we win one play off game. I'm not sure he makes it back for the wildcard round.

Trevor Siemian, Daniel Jones,Zach Wilson, Garrett Gilbert, Jake Fromm/Mike Glennon, Taylor Heineicke… I feel like it would be pretty impossible to NOT put up decent defensive numbers during that run. All I know is that anytime we’ve seen this D against an actual decent QB they’ve been destroyed.

And that's why people are absolutely giving Gannon too much credit!

I dunno, he already had some fumbling issues… might not be wise to play him with a hand that isn’t 100%

Oh we will be one and done for sure. Our D will face a legitimate QB in the playoffs, and the opponents D will face a running QB.

That's never a good recipe in the playoffs.

The last coach we had that couldn’t get us to the playoffs was Marion Campbell in 1983. That’s a moderately impressive hiring streak

I would prefer to see the Bucs over the Rams in round 1. With Brady losing WRs to ACLs and insanity, he almost lost to the Jets after getting shutout by the Saints and clobbered by Washington. Even though he’s the GOAT, the D isn’t where it was last year. This is one of the weakest teams Brady has carried into the playoffs in probably a decade.

Whereas if Stafford has a decent game at all, the Rams are going to nuke us.

True, but I’d say they made the playoffs in spite of Kotite more than anything. That was a horrid hire (different ownership, I know) he just happened to be carried by that insane defense.

Eagles secure their spot in the playoffs

The Eagles are going to the playoffs in Nick Sirianni's first year as a head coach.

After handling their business on the road against Washington on Sunday afternoon, the Eagles' ticket to the postseason was punched following San Francisco's victory over Houston and Green Bay's triumph over Minnesota.

The Eagles will be one of the NFC's three Wild Card teams when the playoffs begin the weekend of January 15-16. The Eagles will either be the No. 6 or the No. 7 seed depending on next week's results. The Eagles' regular-season finale against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field has been moved to Saturday, January 8 at 8:15 PM. It will be the Eagles' 14th playoff appearance since 2000 – tied for the second most among all NFC teams – and fourth in the past five seasons.

Philadelphia is also guaranteed a winning season for the fourth time since 2017 and 17th time under Jeffrey Lurie's ownership. The Eagles' 17 winning seasons since 1995 are tied for the fifth most in the league. The last time Philadelphia registered at least four winning seasons over a five-year span was from 2006-10 under Andy Reid.

People said the only reason Chip won was because Andy handed him a loaded team. The main reason Doug won was because he had the framework that Chip had back-to-back double-digit-win seasons with. And now Sirianni will be denounces for having the "luxury” of coaching a team that made 3 of 4 playoff appearances under Doug.

And every one of those teams, for good or for bad, were built by Howie Roseman.

Congrats to the Eagles, they exceeded my expectations this season by having a winning record (I thought 6-11) but to make it to the playoffs is a heck of an accomplishment. It’s nice to be watching meaningful football in January.

That's the matchup I want.   Imagine beating that smug crybaby and see him storm off the field without a handshake...again.
