I bought a device (looks like a Genie or really small set-top box) for a flat fee that came with a remote like 4 years ago. My grandparents (grandfather couldn't use a streaming remote or launch an app to save his life) still have the dish-based DTV service and I was looking up the cost to match her current plan (which is close to $200/mo) switching to their streaming and I want to say it was going to come out to under $100 with the promo-discounts most companies offer for the first 12 or 24 months

Yes they kind of do a contract it locked you in at the price of whatever package you choose for 2 years. The cheapest plan was the entertainment plan at 80 bucks then after taxes and reginal fees it comes out to like 99 and some change.

I still might go back to dtv I'm just trying to give YouTubetv another week. I got fubotv to get me through the Monday night game.... Fubtv sucks by the way, their fees are absolutely ridiculous and they don't have tnt or tbs ( not that it matters since TNT is done with NBA) and expensive

maybe they live somewhere poor and improved their internet the same time they went to lame Youtube TV. I've gotten locals everywhere I live (moved to NY 8 weeks ago and all my 0-99 channels updated to the local FOX/ABC/CBS/NBC/PBS/CW/etc and I have not had a single issue specific to the service in the 4 years (this coming January) I've had it. And all the channels are 100% identical to what DirecTV has used for the last however many decades, so I can just type in 206 for ESPN or 331 for MTV the way tens of millions of people have been doing for dozens of years now vs having to scroll pages and pages of guide to get to whatever channel someone wants to switch to next

Sounds extremely ghey

I’ll let you know. I don’t know a damn thing about them but figured I’d try it for 10 bucks. lol if I get my local abc & can watch mnf it will be worth it.

Antenna was a fail. Moved it around the house & the best it could do is 8 channels…got my local nbc & cbs channels but not abc…which I need for mnf.

I might pay the 30 bucks for 1 month of ESPN plus….Eagles have 2 mnf games in that month so I’d get them at least.

Have you tried sling? I want to give it a test run but I don't want to pay for 2 day passes.

hmm... mine was cheap too. Maybe we need to try something just a little bit better.

I have had sling a few times it's decent for the money. Never had issues

my local abc is yellow on that site but I couldn’t get it with the cheap a** antenna I bought.

yttv is giving a $20 refund so I’ll put that towards 1 month of ESPN plus I guess. gives me some time to find a better antenna if they still haven’t reached a deal by then.

Most subscribers will need to claim the credit manually, as it doesn’t apply automatically for those who have subscribed to YouTube TV directly.

My antenna was also a fail. Got 30 some channels including Philly CBS, NBC and Fox, but not ABC which according to FCC has a strong signal in my area. I just signed up for a 5 day free trial of FUBO which I will cancel tomorrow. MNF can go F itself if the Eagles aren't playing. I'm sure the NFL and NCAA will have something to say to Disney if the viewership continues to drop because of this and make them come to an agreement.

I went with directtv forgetting that they don't get nbc sports Philadelphia... So I'll get the game tonight but no sixers games FML and F Disney straight to hell.

I did the 5 day trial of Fubo and I'll probably do DirecTV app next if needed.

Sling worked ok. Every now and then they would throw a couple second commercial in before the game came back and it would screw with us. My brother and I video chat during late games and we sync our tvs, he was using fubo and would come back from commercial a little before me when they did it.

If I wanted to deal with this much poverty I'd go outside and walk around the white trash town I just moved back to.

Lol, I have direct TV now, you should be happy with me

Now they're going to pay to watch AI fan fiction 🤣

not as happy as you are with yourself

I wouldn’t be able to hate watch embiid if I dropped yttv for direct tv.

Yeah I forgot that part when I signed up for it. I'll just go back to YouTube TV next month

Once again proving how directv sucks.

It's better than Hulutv and fubotv as far as content but, it's expensive, slow UI and no nbc sports Philadelphia =Epic failure

There is still no end in sight for the Disney YouTube TV saga still
