That’s a pretty big incentive. Smart. They worked the system before it's ironed out. Others teams that come up with similar situations might get questioned. They been playing all year sick, vaccinated or not. People want entertainment, league wants money. I want money gonna keep working and keep mouth shut, cause entire thing feels like a witch hunt or pole play.

Go eagles! Fight, fight, fight!

The whole point of science is inconsistency. It's constantly evolving. We know more about things - covid, space travel, how to make polymers - today than we did yesterday. We learn and grow. The anti vax/anti test dummies don't get that part.
January 4, 20223 yr 18 hours ago, UK_EaglesFan89 said: Hang on... So if all 12 players are vaccinated and remain asymptomatic they aren't tested again and can play at the weekend? They're tested again during the week to clear protocol, but I think what's meant in the tweet by "they aren't tested again" is that they won't be randomly selected to be tested for future weeks, and thus not at risk of missing any games in the playoffs.

If they did this preemptively it was a diabolical stroke of genius.

It all hinges on there notion of random selection vs voluntarily submitting to testing. If that part is accurate, then yea coupled with the new 5-day protocol, I think that explains what we're seeing.

This new variant is not as severe and is now more like a cold... So we do need to get on with life. But it seems crazy to me that players who test positive on a Monday can play at the weekend as long as they don't show symptoms. I think that they also need one negative test, too.

And most of the 12 guys on the list are likely to play very little if at all Saturday night, so even if they take slightly longer to come off Covid IR they'll be ready for the first playoff game the following week with no chance of testing out.

January 5, 20223 yr The only negative I see about this is that it doesn't adversely effect the Giants and their draft picks! Would love to hear Judge cry about us getting Covid, our players not being able to play and it effecting the Giants lmao
January 9, 20223 yr Thanks Washington. Thanks nfl for making the Eagles play Washington two weeks out of three. Thanks nfl for not canceling the first game when they had the outbreak originally.
