It might seem crazy, but the Bucs seem to be a little vulnerable right now. I don’t know if the Eagles are ready for any of that Cooper Kupp smoke. On top of that Jalen Ramsey pretty much takes out Goedert or Smith. I’m not really liking the Rams matchup to be honest.

The way everyone is talking about the Rams remind me of how people talk about the Seahawks for the last how many years. Oh we match up great with them I'm not worried about them..... Just to get embarrassed time and time again. I think people are just used to us beating the Rams the last few years. The Rams are not the same team this year and neither are the eagles and I also don't like that match up.

Pros and cons of both matchups. Brady’s weapons have been depleted some, but he’s still Brady and has enough to work with. Rams have the weapons but not a successful playoff QB. At this point, I figure we play who we play. Our chances aren’t great either way.

Stafford losing in his only playoff appearance doesn't mean squat. Foles lost in his only playoff in appearance at one point too

Is it weird I feel like over the years the Eagles seem to have had more success against Brady than Stafford? I also remember more than a few times the Eagles getting lit up by ODB. Honestly o don’t miss him gone from the division. We have had more recent success against the Rams than the Bucs for sure though. Either way you look at it this is a challenge, but the travel to the west coast is also a factor, but a game in Florida could lead to a surprising number of Eagles fans actually at the game too. In the end I’m still leaning more to the Bucs even with Brady. There’s also a little bit of a revenge factor there too. 3 minutes ago, Bwestbrook36 said: Stafford losing in his only playoff appearance doesn't mean squat. January 7, 20223 yr Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but the Bucs. Regardless, Gannon better not sit back and let whoever we play get too comfortable in the pocket. We're in the playoffs and as happy as I am about it, we don't belong there. So you're playing with house money. Gannon needs to let loose and play extra aggressive.

That was kind of my feeling too, so to me, who we play doesn't matter so much. Win one against anyone that we have to play, and that's great. Win more than one, and that's even better. Hoist a Lombardi in a month, and I'll buy a #1 Jersey to keep my #9 Jersey company (if he's the QB that wins it).

January 7, 20223 yr For the Eagles to win in the playoffs, I figure they have to run the ball, display good ball control, dominate the lines, and play good defense. Keep the score close. They will lose if it becomes a shoot-out. Playing the Rams means a West Coast trip across the country. They seem to be getting healthier. Whereas the Bucs are a strong team, defending champs. They're still led by Brady. But they are losing important players just as they go into the postseason. I might be crazy, but the Bucs may look to be more prone on paper. Either way, if the Eagles survive the Wild Card game, they're most likely playing in Green Bay next.

Bucks just recently lost 9 to zero against the Saints, and the struggled against the Jets. I with you one that west coast jet lag factor too. Not to mention Eagles fans have a better chance of making it to Tampa Bay.
January 7, 20223 yr Give me stafford any day of the week over Brady. We can beat Stafford, I don't care how many weapons he has. Brady consistently does more with less.

The trick will be to do it 4 times in a row. Which is, of course, possible. I've seen far better teams get beat in their first game and I've seen worse teams win it all. In 2017, I felt supremely confident in our chances, heading into the playoffs. Then and 2004 were the only times I felt that confident. This season, well, this season I haven't been able to watch much so I have no expectations one way or the other. So any wins will be great, but I just have no expectations.

That was the same mindset I took since before the season began knowing we had a complete overhaul of the coaching staff and a (relatively) complete unknown at QB and it made it so much less stressful to endure the losses and the wins were appreciated even more. So looking forward to the playoffs to see what happens, knowing if we get bounced early it’ll be easier to stomach knowing we’ve accomplished more than I could possibly have expected and with hopes that it is just the start, that we grow from here.

I think the formula has to be try to score first and hope for the other team to make a subsequent mistake on the ensuing possession. Get an early lead and then crank up the run game and let the lines try to control things. I have a lot of faith in our OL. But, I'm more concerned about our young coaches not being ready for this moment. They might overthink this whole thing. Our formula has to try to be letting our lines impose their will and that starts with the run game. I hope they rest Hargrave tomorrow. We need the early season Hargrave in the playoffs.
