We have something special with Mailata, Dickerson, Kelce and Lane on the line. Need to start thinking about replacements for the last two but I really hope that core of the line stays together for another year.
gregbwfc1
I've thought for a while that he will come back, unless he believes he can't play at the level he expects of himself. Hope he does, we'll surely miss him.

Green_Guinness
The Cowgirls losing the way they did with pure stupidity from the coaching staff and the players. That's a big positive. We got our ass kicked today, but I'm still laughing at Dem Boyz. A big positive for us is our OL. It's also going to be a question mark depending on what Kelce decides to do, if he retires, but we have good depth when mostly healthy and the best OL coach in the League. Might be worth drafting Linderbaum even if Kelce continues and have him play RG then slide to C when Kelce is ready to retire.

I'm actually shocked that Stoutland hasn't been stolen from us as a coordinator or head coach. He is almost 60 though maybe he is fine with what he is doing, which is obviously fine by me.
NOTW
Kelce, the O line overall, Sweat, Gainwell, Howard, Scott, Devonta Smith, Slay lived up to the hype finally, leading the league in rushing, good D line play.

IIRC, it was a hold, but Vea was falling to the ground regardless, so could have been not called.

They have Kelce, who could retire, possibly, but it might be more fun for him to play for a playoff team and not a 4-11-1 team. And they have Landon. So, the question should be, should the Eagles take the top freak beast athlete, whether it's Linderbaum or someone else? And that's maybe. I don't see why Kelce is going to want to retire. He just got all pro and pro bowl, which means that he's still great. He's on the old side, but he's not close to the oldest Oliner in the NFL. And Lane is younger, he's still great, why do people think he's going to retire. I'm not against putting big resources into the oline, but I wouldn't target Center or Linderbaum unless he actually is the best, and is a freak beast athlete, like Kelce, Lane Johnson, Mailata and Brooks are. It's a made up concept by those who want to influence team decisions. Hurts proved he should be the starting QB for the next 2 years. The Eagles went from 4 to 9 wins, and Hurts makes nothing. 2 more years of not paying a QB and adding talent. Hurts takes the Eagles to the playoffs 100% of the time. Insist on that. Any replacement QB must have taken his team to the playoffs 100% of the time. Mac Jones. And they have to be as cheap as Hurts.

I'm not so sure. I think Kelce is a smart guy, I mean obviously he's a smart guy, and I don't think he's going to make knee jerk decisions after a disappointing loss. I'm not against putting big resources into the oline, but I wouldn't target Center or Linderbaum unless he actually is the best, and is a freak beast athlete, like Kelce, Lane Johnson, Mailata and Brooks are. Dickerson should not be move to C if/when Kelce retires. Him and Mailata are too good together on the left side of the line and you shouldn't break that up as they will only get better each season. You could have a totally dominant left side of the OL for years to come. IIRC, our resident OL guru, JR, has stated that Linderbaum is the closest thing to Kelce, who is a very rare type of C in the way he moves and gets out in space. He'd be the best replacement for Kelce if we want to be able to run the same OL schemes. That is the big question, though, is what does Kelce do? He's on record saying that for the past few seasons he has thought about retiring, but so far keeps coming back for another season. How long before he decides he needs to think about his long term health and take care of his body? Currently RG is a question mark for the future. Brooks has been injured often the past few seasons (and major injuries at that) and is commanding a huge salary where releasing him post June 1st could save a good amount of cap space. He might be a cap casualty. Driscoll keeps getting injured. Toth/Herbig are solid backups, maybe they're good enough to be decend/solid long term starters, but if you have a chance to upgrade you have to take it. This is why I'd be fine if they drafted Linderbaum where he could either take over for Kelce if he retires or could play RG until Kelce does retire. He would help solidify our OL for years. You have to consider the long term future when drafting, which is why it's said you should always go BPA even if it's not a position of immediate need. Though if you have 2 players you rate equally then you could default to the position of greater need. Otherwise you should take your highest rated player on your board.
