I think two of these picks get moved for future picks, or all 3 get used for a QB.

I see a lot of mocks with the Eagles taking a LB in the first round with one of these picks.

With Singleton and Edwards...I doubt that happens. This front office thinks Singleton is good. Singleton isn't good, but he's not exactly bad. Good, high energy special teams guy on a legit contender.

If they keep all three picks it's going to be a DL,OL and DB.

Until this team takes a LB in the first round, I'm going "no linebacker in the first round" chalk every draft. I think you have a better chance seeing a RB with one of those picks. (And no, I'm not saying a RB should be drafted. We need a stud LB. Haven't had one in a long time. I hope I'm wrong.)

People keep saying the options are use the picks in this draft or trade them for future picks.

I think they use two but trade one of the picks for a veteran difference maker player, hopefully one on defense.

Most of the "stud LBs" this team has had were not 1st round picks anyway. Seth Joyner, William Thomas, Jeremiah Trotter.

I'm not sure how we'll use our three first rd. picks, but if they prioritize defense, I can absolutely see us getting a LB if there is one available that is sound in coverage. Besides Edwards and Singleton, we also have Taylor who showed big improvement from his rookie year, but failed to stay healthy. So if we had to prioritize defensive positions, I think I'd still put DB first followed by DE. Getting Graham back will be huge, but his loss this year showed why we need to find his future heir soon. If we get a LB before day 2 is over, that prospect should be able to push the LBs we have for playing time.

No way. This team undervalues the position. It's going to be DL and DB. They already have their LBs.

Man I hope you’re wrong (though I think you’re right) cause I would like to see this team finally invest in the linebacker position. I feel like Gannon’s defense needs linebackers with far more playmaking ability than what the Eagles have so far.

As I said, I personally think CB, S and DE are bigger needs.

And no 1st round corner in about 20 years.

Has it really been that long since Lito?

I don't know if they are bigger......but the short to mid range passing game and opposing TEs constantly kill this team and have been for years,

I can't help wondering what a guy like Parsons, Bobby Wagner or Darius Leonard would do for this defense.....they have a real opportunity to get a defensive QB stud this year.

Dean or Lloyd could be a guy who transforms this defense.....

God...remember we had Seth Joyner, Byron Evans and Willie T??  My god, I would just take one of them now.......

Based on Howie's comments yesterday, we can forget about a 1st round LB again this year.<_<

The best leaders aren't afraid to veer from their overall philosophy once in a while and take strategic chances.  This team's undervaluation of LBs is maddening.  I am behind the philosophy of building the trenches and perimeter (and obviously QB being #1 priority), but every once in a while it would be nice to think outside the box and take a playmaker at LB or S in Round 1.

Were number one defense across the board with that group in 91, but I think Jesse Small started the year.

That was a great defense to watch. They went basic defense against a Run and Shoot offense and won. 😂

Think you may be right....'91 is such a shame, f'ing Paup!  Number 1 straight across the board, we lose Cunningham game 1.....6 different QB's that year, a 10-6 record and didn't even make the playoffs.  UGGGHHHH!!!

Not only did they lose Randall, but McMahon couldn’t stay healthy either. They were running out all kinds of bad quarterbacks. Can’t believe that team won ten games with some of the guys they threw out there.

Wasn't Bobby Hoying a part of that group too? Or am I thinking too far back?

Yup, bud Carson knew what he was doing, he mixed some of the 34 principles with some of the 46 stuff they already knew and that defense just dominated.

I think dvoa ranks them the second best d ever behind 85 bears.

Hoying was after this group. Think more Bubby Brister, Jeff Kemp, and Brad Goebel.

I don't see Howie going all defense if we keep the 3 picks. He loves lineman. I definitely see an OLine pick. With Brooks more than likely leaving, Kelce getting closer to retirement, Lane getting close to 10 years in the league, Dillard being a bust, and Dickerson(who played great) with his history of injuries.

As I wrote this, the more I think about it, Im starting to think it's a guarantee that they will use one of those picks on an OLine.

Bubby brister was last year of kotite, Pat Ryan came out of retirement though and played a horrible game

Yep.  The 2002 draft and what a draft it was for the secondary:

1. CB Lito Sheppard
2. Safety Michael Lewis
2. CB Sheldon Brown

(Plus RB Brian Westbrook in the 3rd)
