February 18, 20223 yr the QB class for 2023 is much better than this year, from what I understand, given that the jury is still out on Hurts...I suspect one or two of the 1sts will be traded to next year...and the remaining 1st will be.. DT. especially since Cox's status seems to be anything but guaranteed at this point...and Howie likes his DTs Jordan Davis' stock seems to be dropping and I saw one mock where he fell to PHI in the mid first
February 18, 20223 yr Regardless of all the mock drafts, regardless of all the fans predictions, regardless of all the hype and excitement, I know when the eagles pick, I'm going to sit there and say WTF?

That's usually the case with Howie making the call. They should be taking a top DE and LB to add talent to defense. We'll see what Howie does.
March 4, 20223 yr Howie didn’t seem to rule out the possibility of a linebacker. All I can say is I hope they address the position no later than the 2nd and possibly add on vie free agency. Thankfully since they won’t be paying anyone between 40-45 mil a year to play quarterback they should be able to address several holes with free agents as well. Let’s face it. Historically Howie has done better with free agent signings than he has with draft selections anyway.

On one hand, having three 1sts (realistically using 2 of them while trading one back) there's greater chance to draft a LB. But with the talent in this draft I'd be ok with him taking a DE and then a Safety or Corner and then not taking a LB until 2nd or 3rd round. As long as they beef up the defense with some top talent that will be good. I think it will be disappointing for them to take an offensive lineman in the 1st. Like if Linderbaum falls I get the interest but O line is one area they do pretty well at drafting and developing guys from later rounds especially with Stoutland. Maybe a WR in the 1st if it's truly worth it but I'm really hoping they just go defense high.
