February 25, 20223 yr I find it hilarious that guys who say things like "it's obvious", or "i know what I saw" or even "I don't care what the stats or anybody says" when I comes to discussing Hurts, are the same guys who hav NO f------- clue about what's obvious, they don't know what their looking at or have no idea how a QB develops. They just don't like the guy.

The strategy moved AWAY from Hurts in order to win. That's not advanced, that's not manipulating the numbers...that's what happened

And would have been 8-1 if JJAW or Reagor had made those catches against the giants. A young QB who is still developing got them into the playoffs. And don't give me that idiotic argument about the schedule. If strength of schedule meant anything, they wouldn't need to play the games. See how stats don't tell the whole story? I could go on and on about situational stats that didn't help the offense and Hurts, but what's the point? Yeah, Sirianni depended more on the running game which he should have done in the beginning of the season. I've said from the very beginning that Hurts should not have started this season because he was too raw and needed to sit and learn. But they put him out there and thought he could win games by throwing waaaaay too much. He is getting better despite your shallow view of stats. To give up on him now is what bad organizations do and they go back on the QB spinning wheel and they stay there season after season looking for the next big thing. Just look at what the Broncos, the jets, the browns, the jags and a few others have done over the years.....drafting guys, throwing them to the wolves expecting them to save the franchise and then giving up on them way too early......wasting draft picks and f------- up the player. I'm not saying that Hurts is going to continue to develop into a top passer. But neither do you nor the media. But he's on the right trajectory, and he has the intangibles that are almost impossible to teach. He earned and absolutely should get at least another year to continue to develop. And the biggest areas are his defensive reads, his progressions....both of which need to get faster and delivering the ball quicker. Those are hard things to learn and nobody gets better at it without playing time. Moving on from Hurts does 2 things that will hurt the eagles in 2 ways. Finding another QB project.....or obtaining a big price vet for a ton of draft assets, which will prevent them from improving other areas of the team that are woefully needed.

You're saying don't give you the truth by asking not to make the argument of who he played lol he played the equivalent to a second half of the season dumpster fire. You are making the same excuses that were made for Tim Tebow right now and you don't even realize it. Funny, his comparison coming out of college by the scouts were to.... Tim Tebow lol they took the game away from Hurts for a reason, he wasn't good enough for the original offense. Luckily sirianni had an elite offensive line to just hide behind to survive the season. It's a passing league and Hurts isn't an efficient passer of the football. Fun player, but not a great quarterback. If you think 7/7 in 9 games is great foundation then good for you. But this isn't the 90s anymore. He had as many touchdown passes as Davis Mills and with a worse completion percentage...and I'm pretty sure Davis Mills played less games. Hurts was inadequate. What's funny is I don't care if he gets a run back season because the league will bench him for Philly if the coach wont. He would literally have to take such a large leap to just become a top 15 passer. we will be in the same position next season half way through if he shows up the same guy, and they won't be able to hide him again. I honestly hope I'm wrong, but I've watched plenty of his stuff from college to now and....his weakness haven't changed much
