I often wonder why idiots keep letting themselves get interviewed by Klepper.

But I immediately realize I answered my own question.

Because people probably don't know who he is.

The Daily Show is the 77th rated show on Cable and is only getting about 381,000 viewers

You're crazy, clone.

I forgot about that whole episode. We also have almost the exact same PC specs too, no?

Possible. I did score a 3080.

I'm at least 6" taller though.

Yeah I love those klepper segments but from a comedic standpoint it's fairly low hanging fruit akin to Leno's jaywalking segments.

If you're 6'3", and I thought you had a 5700? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I'm 6'1", but was mostly messing with you lol

I had the 5700XT but managed to win a Newegg shuffle and felt compelled to upgrade. Passed the 5700 to my wife who had a 5600 previously.

Don't watch those types of shows but no I don't find him funny

Damn, a 3080 at MSRP is a nice score. My next card will be an nvidia for DLSS alone.

I like Roy's standup. Something about his delivery and cadence is hilarious to me for stone reason. Never seen Klepper in any other context but he is an absolute master of interviewing idiots. It's the one part of the show I still watch sometimes.

Yea YouTube clips are great for those two.

He is terrible.  Can’t listen to him for more than 5 seconds or my head will explode

I've seen those 15-second promo clips as commercials, and they are brutal. If that's the best that he has, then he has nothing.

I think all those hoodies during the pandemic hurt him as well.  Bill Maher broadcasted from his home and worse a suit and tie, and found as appropriate a background as he could. Noah looked like he got out of bed and recorded a show, then hurried to finish so he could play on his PS5 for 8 hours.  I found the presentation, even in those promo commercials, to be completely unprofessional.

I've never seen a minute of his show, and from what I gather based on the promos, the first minute that I tune in would already be wasted time.

Another thing that annoys me....

I honestly can't stand any of these foreigners who come here, get a TV show where they're paid millions of dollars and then crap all over us.

Trevor Noah, John Oliver, Samantha Bee, Jim Jeffries, James Corden...

It just rubs me the wrong way

Noah is meh at best. And that’s being generous.

But let’s ease up on the gratuitous fluffing of Jon Stewart. He was good for sure, but he’s also overrated. The writers and correspondents made that show.

Have not seen the show - but he seems on the promos to be unbelievably annoying.

Hard pass.

John Oliver is the best guy to come out of The Daily Show.

But really the writers who write the show are the stars.

Klepper is fing awesome.

Noah is a funny standup, but he is no Jon Stewart.

Klepper is amazing. Guy has some brass balls. Think well on his feet.

He's a likable guy especially considering his history, but he's not very good as a host. No idea about his stand-up, never was curious enough to look it up.

Stewart set a high bar, but I'm surprised they couldn't find someone better.

Go back to their roots and bring back Craig Kilborn

As a white man in his 40s, I have no use for Joe Rogan

I don't care for either one of them lol. And the same thing I said about Noah's standup I can say about Rogan. Very up and down.

Dennis Miller was the best comic who could kill consistently with sets almost entirely make up of political commentary (excluding Carlin because he mixed in politics rather than it being his whole set, at least until his later specials.) Regardless of whether you agreed with Miller's views, from a comedic standpoint, the timing, delivery, writing, etc was just sharper and more polished than Maher, Stewart, or anyone else since.

I enjoy Lewis Black on occasion too but he's more of a one-trick pony.

Saw Miller 2001 New Years in Vegas (with David Spade) and he was amazing.  Went downhill shortly after that, after he went full right wing talking head.

Yup and yup

In the realm of late night comedy there is Greg Gutfeld and everybody else.

Genuine question, politics aside.....

Does anybody actually find him funny?

I didn't agree with a lot of Jon Stewart's views, but still found him genuine and funny.

Trevor Noah is just.... Bad....

he's the anti-funny.
