If so, I'm glad it didn't happen. I definitely want those picks on defense.

All this trade tells me is the Eagles saw an opportunity to take a chance on a good player at a very cheap price.

When you kick the can on a lot of potential trades, you are not going to pull the trigger on every one - the price is going to be too high sometimes. There are certainly things to criticize Roseman about, but deal-making? Nah, he is as good at putting trades together as any GM in the league. This particular deal appears to have been a done deal, but the Falcons pulled out at the last minute because they learned about Ridley's potential suspension, knowing to do otherwise would be unethical. Lol the Eagles rarely make any of the trades they’re continually linked to, and they never give up first round picks to do it. The most likely scenario here was Howie was giving up a middle to low round pick at most.

A healthy player not suiting up probably didn’t sit well with Atlanta. My guess was a third or swapping our 2 for their 3
March 18, 20223 yr I can’t help but to wonder if all these reports of the Eagles ALMOST getting player x or player y convinced Lurie to extend Howie, because we already know he gives Howie credit for almost getting players. The Eagles virtual almost squad must be the one of the greatest ever assembled. 😂🤣😂
