I don’t know why, but that sounds so much more enjoyable to watch than the eyeball-scooping, decapitated head Fer. 😂

This was so poorly done it was comical. Headless was much tougher to get through.

Been seeing 2008 Martyrs in a lot of articles on best horror movies.  Has anyone seen this ?  Is it worth $4 rental on Amazon.  I have no problem films with subtitles.  In fact I prefer over English dubbed versions.

It's pretty brutal - just a warning

It's very good - but you will have to have a very strong stomach to get through it.  One of the best French horror gore fests.

Did not see that ending coming. It was graphic but, it was definitely worthwhile watching.

Has anyone seen Inland Empire?  I've seen in pop up a lot recently, probably because of David Lynch's recent death.  Someone I follow on IG put up a post saying this was one of the most terrifying movies of all time.  Well.....I'm 1 hr and 20 minutes into this 3 hour snooze fest and here's my review:

If you want a psychological horror movie without gore watch Herectic. It was awesome.

I never cared for Hugh Grant so I was a bit unsure going in but he was fantastic.

I watched it twice and it did nothing for me.  Not sure why.  I thought Hugh Grant played a great role, but I just could not get into the plot.

I can see that. It's not necessarily scary but if you grew up in a religious household it definitely hits different.

I saw Heart Eyes and The Monkey tonight.

Heart Eyea was fine.  It’s a horror comedy that is a send up of rom coms.  It had a few funny moments but I spent most of the movie wondering why they didn’t cast actors that are actually funny for the leads in a horror comedy.

The Monkey is weird, violent, and legitimately funny with some very dark humor.  I’ll probably go see it again while it’s in theaters.

I've got some high hopes for the monkey!!

Finally watched Alien: Romulus last night.  Another solid addition to the franchise - really dug the last 30 minutes or so.  That hybrid alien/human thing was so f'n gross

Spoiler

That was a real dude too.  No CGI.  You can look for the behind the scenes videos where they put all his make-up and costumes and sheet.  If I ever saw that mongoloid on the street, I'd cry to my mommy.

The Gorge - fun but predictable rom-com/action/horror/thriller.  Not sure how else to describe it but if you go in not expecting too much it’s fine.  Teller and Taylor-Joy are both great - solid action scenes and SFX

Got around to watching it last night. I enjoyed it, but the ending could’ve been better. I’m curious to see if Grant does any more horror films, as I felt he really excelled in that role. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have no idea what the hell this movie was trying to be or how much they had to pay Teller Taylor-Joy to be in it.

There are some Overlord elements to it though, which is one of my favorite action/horror movies.

I really liked Overlord.  This comparison is encouraging.  I tend to like Derrickson’s horror films so I’m looking forward to catching this even if feedback I’ve heard has been mixed.

Wife is staying with MIL and both our girls tonight. I’m going to the movies by myself.  Pants will be off and I’m gonna see the Monkey!

Still trying to decide on which movie though. 👀😂

I loved the Monkey. It was not what I was expecting at all.  They made the story interesting and some of the dark humor throughout the whole film made the whole audience laugh out loud. Some of the kills were awesome.  I’ll definitely be seeing it again.
