Now I drive a boring black 2015 Nissan Rogue SL with 102,000 miles. Don't smoke cigarettes nor transport 40's in it unfortunately.

I enjoy not having a car payment, aka I am a poor.

my kid just totaled a 2013 rogue. <_<  now we're looking at a couple 2011's with around the same mileage as yours....and they're going for around $10k :meh:

My first car was a 1987 4 cylinder Mustang convertible. I saved every penny at my job at Super Fresh to buy it and replace the rotted white top with a black one. I lost most of my photographs in Sandy but it looked like this second pic. You can kind of see it in the pic below it at my HS graduation.

Before schmoopie:

My first car (1992 something something)

1998 Nissan Maxima

With schmoopie:

2014 Ford Explorer (sold)

2015 Mini Cooper (sold)

2017 Ford Explorer Sport

2017 Mini Cooper Countryman S (sold)

2022 Mustang Mach E (coming soon..... I think)

This was my 2nd car, but I loved it. 1979 Plymouth Sapporo. The previous owner had put in an awesome stereo with big speakers and an EQ under the glove box. I thought I was the ish driving around Kutztown University blasting my cassettes.  - otherwise it was a turd on wheels.

Mustang in name only ?

Had a 1965 Mustang that was newly painted and rear ended waiting at a stoplight.  Insurance said it was totaled because frame was twisted.  Loved that car.

It's not a Mustang...... I had a 1968 and a 2014........ they are Mustangs.....I don't care what Ford says now..... it's a rebadged Escape.

Oh I'm sure I would love to drive one around town with the windows down to listen to the growl of the lithium batteries draining.

I’ve owned 5 Mustangs including 1 Cobra (my favorite - high performance chip, flowmasters, k&n filter, 5 speed manual in laser red ). We aren’t buying this because we have any delusions that it’s a muscle car. It’s my grown up family car Mustang  - one day when baby girl is off to college I’ll have my 65 Fastback.

ETA - it’s not an Escape (I’ve owned one - and 3 Explorers, 2 Broncos - OJ’s and the Bronco II and an F-150 SVT Lightning). This car is much nicer than an Escape. So nice in fact that I think that’s why I’m ok with the Mustang name for the Mach-E. I honestly had a visceral reaction too when I first saw they gave a crossover SUV the Mustang name and said wtf that’s no Mustang.. but it’s honestly so impressive that I’m cool with it wearing the pony now.

@binkybink77..... my bad..... I never meant to ridicule your choice..... I am an older car guy..... many different rides throughout the years. My 68 was Indian Red ... 302 v8 4 speed.... used obviously..... my 14 I bought new.... 302 coyote... 6 speed manual.... drove it to over 100k and bought a new bimmer.

I actually sold my BMW because I didn't like the engine noise. Apparently I didn't hear enough cylinders.

I just can't accept the change...... but I also have no use for the other electrics hitting the market

think of it this way....... imma fossil just burning up the fossil fuel.

No offense taken! Like I said I had a visceral reaction to them at first. My dad raised me as a Mustang girl - his first car was a 65 coupe that I now own the hood to and I am obviously a huge fan of Mustangs and Fords in general. I also felt that way about electric cars. Our neighbors last year would have theirs plugged in and I’d mock it to paco - of course it was some little shitbox. Once we decided to get solar panels and paco started talking about being able to charge a car for free I said I would only agree if we could get a Mustang. Lo and behold they make an electric Mustang and it works for us with having a baby because it’s an SUV :-)

I decided to stop playing football after 9th grade so I would have time to work, because I wanted to buy a car. I saved up to buy one a black 98 dodge Neon with 4k cold hard cash once I turned 16.

Not gonna lie.  I’m looking forward to virtually never going to a gas/charging station again*

*Yes we will still have the explorer. And yes, long trip with the mustang will need to stop at one.  But this is our main getting around car and we won’t drain the battery most days.

In keeping with oldies I had...... had 2 of these Chysler Cordoba.... with Rich Corinthian leather.

when i got my volare(roadrunner), the first car i wanted to look at on the lot was a 76 cordoba, but it wouldnt start. lol

this was my 2nd car, only difference was mine had the dodge star for the side windows. my dad handed it down to me and yes, it instantly became a spicolli van. several times i looked out of galaxy at roosevelt mall to see a ton of smoke coming out the roof vent.

it was also fun to use in the park at night because the philly pd was using dodges for paddy wagons back then. nothing better then revving up and putting your high beams on to light a keg party and see everyone tripping over themselves running away.
