Also in 2020 Flacco played with the Jets so they were familiar with the player. What other NFL has Barnett played for that is so familiar to him to make them want to trade for him? Trying to compare these two situations is a joke.

I guess free agents are obligated by rule to sign with whatever team wants them and likewise, by rule, every team that has interest in a particular player has to announce their interest to fulfill the transparency requirements set forth by fans.

Player comparisons are fine when they actually make sense. This one isn’t close to the same. To ASSume a team would rather trade an asset for a guy they know little to nothing about rather than just sign the guy when they could is a practice in stupidity.

Infam said a trade could be in the works NOW and that is why the Eagles signed him. You get that? He suggested the Eagles signed him because a trade was in the works now. That's ridiculous, if a team wanted him now they would have just signed him.

You and your buddies get too bent out of shape when someone challenges the status quo around here. While I don't think there is currently a trade in the works, it doesn't mean there won't be one in the future. My opinion is the Eagles feel they signed Barnett for his value and expect him to contribute. As for your last sentence ... frankly --- it's a joke. A team can't just go out and sign someone. It's the player that actually signs. If that player doesn't want to sign a FA contract with a certain team, then he won't regardless of their interest. However, if there's not a no-trade clause in a contract, then that team can acquire that player in a trade with that player's current team. I'm sure you already know this, but it's more important to "double-down" on your previous post and pretend people won't notice the obvious. At least you got some likes from your groupies!

So this is the comment that sent everyone coming at Infram a little. It was CLEARLY about a trade "in the works” meaning now and not about one in the future. You were wrong again @brkmsn because this was not about some trade in the distant future rather one that is literally assumed pending. You can’t come into an argument, change the narrative, and act like you’re right. You’re not right here, and the fact you played the arrogant card as if you’re above this argument makes you look even more like a jerk bud. Admit you were wrong and move on, but I know you won’t, because humility isn’t in you.
April 7, 20223 yr I know it's a Derek Barnett thread, but let's leave the unnecessary roughness to him 😂

He is young and now has a decent contract, even one favoring the team. Times change quick in the NFL so I think Roseman would move him if the price is right - if not he stays. All I’m saying is I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up traded eventually.

Obviously you "assumed the trade was already pending" before (at least that's what they tell me). Now you've gone and changed the narrative! For shame! For shame! Before anything is official, though, we must wait for our official interpreter's interpretation. You may not actually think what you think you think.

Overall I wouldn’t count on him moving anytime soon unless the Eagles get an unbelievable offer for him, but I wouldn’t even see tha as a possibility at least until the trading deadline. For now he’s an Eagle and all we can do is hope he gets better, but if I’m being honest I highly doubt he does enough to become an asset worth trading for.
