I made one comment about the fact that the Eagles knew he'd be behind Ertz for years when they made the move to draft him. It wasn't a surprise, which is what I addressed in my post. He wasn't behind him though. He played along side him, and played at a high level. The pick made sense now and in the future.

They traded back out of the 1st. Howie was more focused on keeping players from the SB roster to run it back. So he could take a TE in the 2nd despite having Ertz, a DE a year after drafting Barnett and a rugby project player. 2019 is when he tried to replace veterans with clones then 2020 try all the speed. 2021 seems like he went back to BPA.

April 25, 20223 yr Not having good vibes about this draft at all. Like some analysts have pointed out, most of the good players are in the top 10, and there's a huge drop off from there. Which means that it's going to take incredible skill to be able to pick the best players in the latter part of round 1, and I don't think Howie can pull it off. We might end up with 2 more Jalen Reagors.

April 27, 20223 yr Another draft game for all you junkies. https://www.eaglesmessageboard.com/topic/5968-another-game-to-test-your-draft-skills/
April 27, 20223 yr As one of the smartest non-winners of all time, if not THE smartest non-winner of all time, I am the only one who chose my player as a lock. When everyone zigs, Howie says you gotta know how to zag.

He seems pretty good on the surface, but that PAC-12 competition isn't a great test for him (or anyone else IMO). Would've liked to see him perform in the SEC. Still, USC is the one school in that conference that I believe can turn out good NFL players every now and then. Time will tell if he's a true impact player or another Agholor...or something worse. I just know that Howie and Jeffrey like left coast players for some inexplicable reason. In the end, whoever they take, I hope he's a HOF'er.

April 29, 20223 yr If it’s Kyle Hamilton I’ll be pissed and happy as hell. I had him in second and deleted him.
