Congrats dude. I didn’t realize you were that old. You post like a 40 year old.

I’m aiming to retire at 57.

Baby girl is 1, I'm going to be 44, so I'll retire at, lets see, 17 years plus 4 years of college, carry the 1......

Someone give this man two trophies.  One for being old, and another in case he loses the first one.

Where’s OddBall?  Oh, there he is

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – An unusual case in Humphreys County lands a man behind bars facing charges for impersonating a Homeland Security agent.

The case is centered around a red fox known as ‘Lu Lu’ that OddBall claimed is a federal bomb sniffing K-9, according to investigators.

You're going to be 62. Take that 500k and spend it over your final 3 years.....

In all seriousness give it to the niece for the 3sum you been dreaming of

Out of curiosity, what is the minimum?

For most hedge funds, they rely on an exemption under 3(c)(7). This means all investors have to meet the requirements of a Qualified Purchaser. For an individual, that requires investable assets, excluding your primary residence, of at least $5 million.

Our minimum was $1,000,000, which is industry standard.

Don't park your RV anywhere near that fat lot lizard @bobeph 🙂

After much thought I officially told HR that I plan on retiring at 62.  That's right, little known to all but a few of you, I'm an old Fer.  That's 18 months from now.  I'm getting an RV, Harley is selling her house and we are taking the show on the road.  TLEMR hooked me up with contacts in our beautiful national park system and we are going to go across the country employed as recreation managers for different parks.  It's seasonal work at each park and they provide us with a free RV camping spot.  I'm going out the same way I lived the rest of my life by beating the system.  Harley can put the money from the sale of her house in some type of investment and we can live off my Pension and 401K.  We have smart people on here.  What's a good safe place to stick $550,000?  It doesn't have to make crazy interest, I just don't want her losing any money.  Thanks in advance.

Times yours.

Random thought....

Why not keep the house and rent it out?  Get some passive income that way.

That is one of the plans.  I wanted her to sell it while the market was good.  Seems like everybody wants to move to Bucks County.

Install cameras in certain areas...... then rent it to the niece. Then send us the passwords.

Going through the same.  Huge housing shortage in our area.  Trying to get the in-laws house on the market.  Dealing with it through an estate with my BiLs is a PITA.  10 acres in plumbstead would sell pretty quick is the hope while it's booming in this area.  Heck my house is estimated 200k more than what we bought it for 6 years ago.

I'm starting up a YouTube channel detailing my final year of work and then my adventures across the country.  What should I call my channel?

I had a long day in western Ireland consisting of a baptism, art shopping, a car wreck keeping us from getting baby girl home, Guinness and red wine.  I promise I’ll come up with something equal parts insulting, snarky and endearing.  I just can’t promise when the fog of booze will allow a synapse to fire.
