I am convinced it’s a lock they sign him.

I think so too. I was reading it was between us and the Ravens for him and they just grabbed Hamilton yesterday.

Surprised to see they went offensive again. I get it cause Kielce will be gone soon, but still so many holes to fill on the roster. Not for nothing but basically their first two picks will be backups and rotational guys at least at the start of their careers.

I think that's exactly it, this team has so many holes it'll take at least 2 drafts to fill all the needs. At least we got Kelce's replacement taken care of....

Good to be back to being annoyed by Howie again

Just to repeat, this was the pick Kelce wanted so he can groom his replacement.  Apparently he lost it when the pick was announced.

Looks like Dickerson won't replace Kelce and stay at Guard.

Davis might not start either just rotate in. Cam might not start for 2 years.

Meanwhile they have holes at corner & safety. We'll see how this goes.

I can guarantee there are a lot of Howie haters who will have a 180 about the pick after learning that.

This feels like the same old Eagles though. This team has immediate needs meanwhile they’re using high round picks for backups. Andre Dillard was this guy like three years ago and still hasn’t become a starter.

I think they could have addressed later. center is a position where you can easily hit mid rounds. This guy needs to be a beast to validate the pick.

and honestly he could be. Our defense is just so sparse

But not athletic centers in the Kelce mold.  Not anymore, at least. Kelce was the aberration in 2011.  Now's he the model.

Safe picks on the Oline or Dline I’ll never dispute.

Would like to see him compete at a guard spot this year in case Kelce sticks around for awhile.

Boo!!!!!!!

Meanwhile the Lb position and the secondary can just f off I guess.

Former tight end.   Jason Kelce helped the Eagles evaluate him, and campaigned for the pick.  That's really interesting to consider.

I guess if Kelce says "You have to get THIS guy", you go get him. I would rather have seen a D player.

The draft isn’t for addressing immediately needs.

You guess

Exactly.  If Kelce retires at the end of the season and there's no plan of transition, then the Eagles will be screwed.  Badly.

We were told last year that the transition plan was Dickerson.

Look at the bright side, I was expecting. "QB factory” pick.

Hey at least we have three centers

This guys stats in college are nuts. Elite prospect. People are upset they didn't go defense.

In the first two rounds it is.

Because we need defense. It's an actual need.

Weren't they grooming one of the swing tackle or guards to take over when Kelce leaves?

This seems like it could have been done next season after Kelce retires and we don't even know if he'll retire after this upcoming season anyway

I don’t hate it, but the first word I said was "why.”  I guess they think they can address the more pressing needs in later rounds.

O-line factory!

The said this about Seumalo years ago too. Our oline coaching is next level. These guys can play all over.

yeah and then he played well almost the whole year at guard and it changed

That’s what got us Jaquawn Jarrett.

I thought that's what Dickerson was for.
