Theres starting to be a lot of noise around us taking him. I wouldn't be surprised.

He's basically saying come and get me

Pretty sure he won’t even make it to #10.

Can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I’m coming around to Robinson being the pick. I’d still be mildly shocked but I really don’t like the way the board might fall for us. We’ll see how it goes. I still think the best option is trading down. RB is so tough because of that 2nd contract but I guess we could extend him though the 5th year and then franchise him for 6th year if he’s all that. RB’s rarely have much of a career beyond that.

Not sure to what to make of all the reports (Carter included). Has there been a pick we really telegraphed then got since Fletcher Cox?

Jordan Davis was fairly well known last year as a top target

I don't recall it being as much so for Cox as far out from the draft. But I hope we do get B-Jawn and all this is isn't a smokescreen.

They won't be drafting a RB in the 1st.  I understand the logic that he wouldn't be going to a bad team but a team with an already strong offense.  But they won't value the RB in the 1st.

Bijan might be there at 10 and they'll draft a lineman and fans will have a meltdown.

That's what I'm preparing myself for. Pretty much convinced myself that drafting a RB in the top 10 is absolutely foolish. Of course if they get him I'll be like Super Bowwwwlllllzzzzzz. :)

I mean once he puts on a uniform everyone will be excited to have him added to the offense, but they just don't value taking a RB in the first round, most teams don't.  They'll take a couple linemen in the first round and then whatever else in later rounds and there will be mixed reviews.

Since we have two picks in the first, I'd allow a move up into the 20s from 30 to get Bijan. No way top 10. I have spoken.

Edit: Alot of RB talent in the 2nd and 3rd though man... hard to make sense of 1st round still lol.

I stand by my opinion that drafting Bijan Robinson would be the most explosive addition the offense could make this offseason.

There is no other realistic addition the Eagles could make that would have more of an impact to our offense. I don’t think Bijan falls past 20, he might not make it to 10… I completely understand the low value placed on RB’s argument…. But… the Eagles still have another first round pick at 30, Superbowl runner up’s aren’t supposed to have a top 10 pick the following draft. Let’s make a splash. If Bijan is the BPA when the Eagles are on the clock at 10… take him!!!

Gibbs is just as explosive if not more ;) Zach Evans, Israel Abanikanda are pretty damn explosive also :)

Bijan is the consensus #1 RB for a reason. Sure the other guys are explosive athletes, but none of them are as good of a RB day 1 as Bijan. None of the others would make the Eagles offense as explosive as Bijan.

Izzy is my #2 choice (in the 3rd round possibly) if we don’t get Robinson, but even then you’re hoping Izzy can improve his reads/vision, contact balance and ability to make defenders miss to even approach the level Bijan is already at… maybe he can get there in year 2.

I beg to differ ;)

That’s cool… you gonna share why one of those other guys is better than Bijan Robinson?

You were talking explosiveness. The guys I mentioned are arguably more explosive than Robinson. Certainly more explosive than Sanders was. Hell even add in Achane. That's really all you need at that position when you have a rotation like the Eagles do. Penny, Gainwell, Scott, Sermon and one of the aforementioned could give just as much value to the position in a rotation than Robinson. That's my argument and I'm sticking to it :D

The entire offense as a whole more explosive.

Not just one player’s 40 time. Devon Allen is probably faster than all of them, but that doesn’t mean sh!t to a defensive coordinator making a game plan to stop the Eagles offense.

You lost me at thinking Tre Sermon could give as much value at the position as Bijan. Tre Sermon sucks.

He makes you a better team on day 1. That is why you pick him. Period.

Our RB room right now is a whole lot of "maybe” mediocre… If it was a guarantee that Penny would stay healthy all season and be around 250 carries on the year… I’d be ok with it, but that is far from guaranteed.

Quality is important. Can’t just go with quantity and hope someone breaks out.

I agree and think the Eagles will spend an early pick on a RB. Would be surprised if it was Bijan or even Gibbs in the 1st round, but I think they'll draft one before the end of Day 2, especially with Penny's extensive injury history.

You're lost because you didn't see the word 'rotation'.
