Ok, so let's do this one again but with some nuance to try to get a more accurate picture of CVON's thoughts regarding the country's health under Biden vs. under Trump.

I went with stagnate. Nothing much has changed. But at least the executive branch of government is a little more competent, which is nice, I guess.

 I'm guessing Biden can count on your vote in '24 then.  After all, you're an Accelerationist.

I gave up on voting a long time ago, but yeah, he’s definitely accelerating the decline.

Unfortunately, things were objectively getting better under Trump up until COVID hit. Can’t really give Trump credit for COVID, especially because operation warp speed was so successful.

I gotta say, it's super unexpected for the guy who was practically blowing Putin in the Russia thread for weeks, then suddenly disappeared once Russia started getting its ass handed to them by Ukraine, only to now reappear and resuming praising Trump at every turn again.

That's not even close to what you were saying at the time.  You were saying things were getting worse and at an accelerated rate, which of course, you were all on board with since you were an Accelerationist.

Pro Tip: stop wrapping your partisanship in ideology and embrace the nihilism like Kz.  It makes the target harder to hit.

  But even worse for the guaranteed 2024 Republican nominee.  I think we can call it now.  This all but seals a Biden win.

Yeah, there's some good and bad but lot of the focus is on the bad. Infrastructure bill is good, vaccine rollout was really good, BBB dying was good.

I'm realistic about the amount of blame that falls at Biden's feet about supply chain and inflation issues.

I was split between this and moving negatively at a reduced velocity, and I think about how Biden worked with our allies for Ukraine and think there's no way Trump would even try to match that.

I'm really just disturbed that several people spelled stagnant wrong above all else

It's a grammar mistake not spelling.

Should be "stagnant under Biden"

Stagnate is a verb. Stagnant is an adjective.

I think most people view Biden as mediocre at best. But he's always graded on a curve because the alternative was so much worse.

After four years of Trump a potted plant is a big step up. Biden is at least a half step above a potted plant with his response to Ukraine alone.

He's had some blunders as well of course, but Afghanistan for example isn't a lasting one and inflation + recession was/is inevitable after COVID regardless. It's time to take our medicine after the shock that COVID represented both to supply chains and the labor market.

Mediocre at best is way better than what we had for POTUS for 4 years prior.

Anyway, the problem is not POTUS. The US government is merely representation of its people. The problem is the citizenry. We have to decide to make it better.
