All these mass shootings, but our Gun Laws don't need to be changed in anyway whatsoever.

A mentally ill person, who makes threats about Mass shooting at his HS, is allowed to buy an AR-15 and get illegal extended clips and go mass murder people, because it's his Constitutional right.

The victims rights should outweigh the rights of the gun owner.

This is America.

I don’t think anyone is allowed to get illegal extended clips and I don’t think anyone is allowed to go mass murder people.  Which Constitutional right allows these things?

These shootings both took place in California and NY.

The two states with the most restrictive gun laws in the country.

Literally every singe law that is being proposed nationally to mitigate these shootings has been implemented in these states.

The only thing they have been successful at is limiting the abilty for law abiding citizens to carry guns to protect themselves.

And, by the way, if he was 302'd, he lost his rights.....  That law is on the books in all 50 states.

It is illegal for someone to be in possession of a firearm if they were 302'd and they are to be confiscated.

Looks like another case of the State Police dropping the ball.

Ok. I did read the NY Gun laws. https://safeact.ny.gov/mental-health They have a mental health law that addresses this and likely could have prevented it. The mental health professional has to report it, if they make a reasonable professional judgement that he is a threat to himself or to others. This reporting requirement went into effect in 2013. They report it to local DCS. Local DCS then reports it to DCJS who then reports it to State Police. If he has a firearm's license they must suspend or revoke the license. Also, "threat of" justifies the need for immediate action.

The mass murderer, threatened the HS last June. He was taken for mental evaluation and released. He also legally purchased the AR15, used in the mass murder.

It seems clear to me, the ball was dropped during this process last year. Sadly.

Here's one thing that Anti Gun folk dont get...

A criminal will do criminal things regardless of what the law says.

There are different levels of criminal behavior, killing people with a gun is not the same as doing illegal drugs

Both can harm people. Both should be legal.

I mean, how many people die from drunk drivers?

Should we ban alcohol?

These people are insane.

No. But the penalties for drunk driving should be way more severe than they are.

The the penalties are severe enough. They really need to educate people on it much more than they do

I've got to hear this......

What new law(s) could you possibly have in mind?

I don't disagree with the kid being a wingnut. He was investigated and evaluated. Again, what gun law saves you from that? Anyone see that hotel killer coming? The DC sniper?
