I don’t think I had, either.  I’d heard a rumor awhile back that the thought was the Miles games was priced lower was because either it wasn’t a full-size game in its own right, or because it was some sort of remaster of that original PS4 game.  Not exactly the same thing, though.

It's more on the retailers IMO. They all wanted to get a jump start and the others just followed so not to lose out

100%. Wasn't there even the tweet from Wal Mart? "You didn't think we were going to make you wait, did you?"

Or something to that effect.

Completely annoyed. 3 different times I had it in my cart at bestbuy, only for the site to not advance to payment. Then remove it from my cart.  Oh well. Ill get one when I get one.

Absolutely walmart completely just ignored the original plans

At what my company pays me, the amount of hours I've put into securing a PS5 pre-order would earn me at least a few hundred dollars in cash on top of the purchase price of the system!

I never even heard/knew they were remastering Spirder-Man (PS4) until seeing the two different Miles games listed just yesterday?

Such a show off lol

I'm pretty sure it's an add in to the spiderman game

Miles game is supposed to be a separate game but in the same universe as the previous one. It's not a DLC

So not completely separate. So kind of a dlc most likely

I don't know ish about the previous game(s) but from the press I've been seeing, it sounds like it's being pitched as a sequel or spiritual successor. When it comes to DLC, usually you need the base game installed to download the DLC. Some DLC are stand alone games, but not as much content as the original game and are priced accordingly. For this being priced at $70, it better be comparable in length and scope as the previous one, no?

Definitely should be

The marketing team clearly failed with explaining it to the masses lol

Think of Uncharted 4, and Uncharted Lost Legacy...That's how I kinda see them. It's not a DLC, but not a game made on a completely new engine or some ish.

Those were priced differently though, no?

Good point. UC4 was $60 and UCLL was $40 I think?

Well, Miles Morales itself is only $50.  It’s the "ultimate” version that includes the remastered Spider-Man game from the PS4 that costs $70.  Even though $50 seems like a lot, it’s less than seemingly most of the other games available at launch.

Congrats to those who have gotten one. The staggered rollout of preorders has been effective. Seems most ppl will be able get their hands on one after all.

I was going to stop in and post the cheap a** gamer tweet but you guys already hit it up,  nice.

At the very least it'll be a sequel that could build off of the last game's story. I wouldn't think of it as DLC in any way, it's an entirely new game like any other video game series. I haven't read anything that would infer that it's anything less than a full game
