Between the PS5 preorders selling out in minutes and the rtx 3080 selling out in seconds,  It seems like plenty of people have disposable income, which goes against everything the media has been saying for months.  I thought everyone was out of work and broke.  Lol

I'm sure the majority that have been getting that extra 600 bucks a week on top of their unemployment are doing just fine. Lol.

Plus for the families who go on vacations, summer camps, etc that money is now getting spent on home improvements, and stuff like this. Besides, the people snatching up these preorders aren't your average Joe that the media reports on, we are the hardcore enthusiasts/fanboys/nerds that are a tiny segment of the population. 

I’ve been working from home so I’ve cut our 60 miles a day in round trip commute to an office. At home for lunch instead of going out to eat as a way to escape the office on lunch. And I sold a $230k house this spring and paid off enough debt that my recurring bills have dropped by at least $2,000 a month.... I can buy more PS5s right now than they make available to me

Well in all fairness the ps4 had 1 million pre-ordered and 2 million sold 2 weeks after launch. They had more then that just for preorders for the ps5 that and the panic that was caused from Walmart ignoring the preorder dates and jumping the gun screwed it up too.

I don't think they were ready for the pre-orders at all. It was only a day before and the sites couldn't handle the traffic. They couldn't handle it on the official day of the pre-order either.

Good grief lol. I delete my games after I beat them. If I want to play them again I can just redownload them. Plus I only play one game at a time to completion. I don't have the focus to play multiple games lol

Yeah this group has discussed this before. Best to go all digital nowadays. Delete what you're not playing. You don't lose saved games and can just redownload when you want to play again. I downloaded Ghosts of Tsushima in literally 4 minutes the other night.

A lot of games have cloud saves nowadays. Downside to digital is the pricing. You can generally get games for half to a third of the price a few months down the track on disc, digital copy will still be max price

Exactly. Essentially this is why Sony offered a digital version for which the only difference is the lack of a physical disc drive. Digital is the future.
